A Word Of Thanks

It has been two months since the start of this blog. This blog was born because of the Mango Cheese Cake made by Penny, my beloved wife. I was impressed by the word Mango (read it as man go) that, man shall go and preach the good news. Of course, this good news is about the grace of God. Since the day Jesus enlightened me with His grace, an urge was placed in me to share the grace of God to those Christian from the Chinese congregations. They have been labouring too much to deserve His blessing.

My heart struggled a while prior to the start of this blog as I did not know WHAT, WHO and HOW to write. In the midst of my struggle, ideas started to come in as I found out that His grace is the WHAT, Jesus is the WHO and what He has brought me through in my walk with Him is the HOW. These elements are the WHY that urge is in my heart.

So I first started with the posting of cakes and cookie made by Penny and those grace revelations recorded in my little booklet. In these two months of blogging, I found that this is the path that I can learn to follow His prompting. For the entire subjects that I have posted, the sequences were led by Him including this writing to mark the closing for the month of July 2008. Those I personally wish to post are still in the queue.

I tried to keep this blog as low profile as possible, but as I look back on the number of visitors for the past 2 months, I know that my God is not a low profile God. He is popular because He is a good God who loves and who saves. He is not an angry God like those legalistic preachers have portrayed.

The month of August will mark a new chapter and I am looking to Him for fresh revelation of His grace. I want to take this opportunity to thanks those who had directly or indirectly helped me encouraged me and supported me in this blog. I am not going to say may God bless you or thing like that because that is for an average Christian who do not have the revelation of His grace. As for you all, you are not an average Christian. You are overflowing with His blessings because of your faith in His grace and His righteousness.

We are all In Christ and we have been blessed in the heavenly realm with every spiritual things in Christ and we are not leaked in anything or in any area of our life. If we feel that we have leak in certain area of our life, that is our leak in understanding His grace in that area of our life. Amen.

Thank you guys!

Phenomenon ~ Rainbow Mentality

These photos are taken outside my house at 1.30 pm this afternoon. There is another bigger circular rainbow outside this ring which is beyond my camera's reach.

What an awesome phenomenon...

This Is Our God

I am honored and blessed to be among the first to have this special edition CD+DVD album “This Is My God” in Malaysia, as I was told that this DVD is still undergoing Censorship Board and will only be released next month. This album was released during 2008 Hillsong Conference.

I wish to express my thankfulness to Roselind and Stanley (William’s Sister and Brother in Law) for blessing me with this album. Roselind and Stanley are living in Sydney and they worship in Hillsong Church. We had dinner together with William’s family and Richard’s family last night. During the fellowship, we could feel that Stanley and Roselind are overflowing with the Father’s love for William. Out of the overflow, we are being blessed as well.

Well, this is the grace of our heavenly Father. This Is Our God!

Quotations

I read all types of book written by reputed preachers in my early Christian life. I would record down those phases which I thought meaningful. But as I read through this lists of quotation this morning, I found myself able to discern what is the bone and what is the flesh. So I began to harvest the fishes and throw away the fishing hook, the string, fishing rod as well as the fisherman. Before I was enlightened by grace, I swallow everything, including the fisherman's boots.

These are the few that leave standing and surprisingly, these are the phases that I did not quite understand then. I suppose these phases are of gold, sliver and precious stone which could withstand the fire.

Depression is the deception that comes from seeing the world from our perspective.

Every day that our Lord delays His judgment is His mercy to the world!

Few, if any, believers came to Christ because they loved Him. We all came to Jesus because we needed Him!

First Love is divine in its origins. We cannot produce it. We simply receive and respond to it.

God love us not because of our nature but because He is God.

God people are the book that Jesus is writing, and the wise can see Jesus in God people, and in their works.

God’s power is released in our lives to the degree of our obedience. Obedience is not based on emotion, but on faith. It is the obedience of faith, not man.

He will not send us anywhere; He will take us everywhere!

If revelation of Jesus’ love could come to our heart, revolution could come to our life!

If Satan cannot overcome a person by temptation, he’ll try accusation, or intimidation.

Judge all prophecy. We base that judgment on the written Word of Christ, not on the reputation of the speaker.

Love is the desire to benefit others even at the expense of self, because love desires to give and God gave His begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

Ministers need to remember that the Sword of the Spirit only slices off ears when wielded in the flesh. Legalistic preaching produces deafness instead of revealing truth. Truth is in the realm of grace.

Our failures should serve to bring us back to God’s First Love.

Worship is not the declaration of the love of the worshippers. It is a declaration of the love of Jesus.

Religion is man’s attempt to get to gods, but Christianity is God’s attempt to come to man!

Repentance is change of mind.

Right believing produces right living.

The basic art of communication is the ability to hear!

The Bible emphasizes on Who made the universal and not how the universal was made.

The responsibility for where we are spiritually is ours. We can make excuses, but in the end we are where we want to be.

Waiting on God to bring us to the end of our journey is much faster than our feet.

We are given the gift of eternal life because Jesus had died on the cross. We are given the gifts of the Spirit because Jesus had been glorified.

We are not saved because we love God. We are saved because God loves us!

We can never make ourselves into who we should be, but we must trust the Lord to make us into who we should be.

When someone is lost, he does not need correction, he needs direction!

Joseph Prince @ Eurospirit Conference 2008 in Leiden, The Netherlands

Dear Alan,

I came across your great blog! Good stuff over there.
One comment about the link I send, it is not Ps. Prince preaching to the Jews, in fact it is a recording of the Eurospirit Conference 2008 in Leiden, The Netherlands. I was Ps. Prince translator and stage host.

Maybe you can alter the heading of your link.

God Bless

Lodi Kuijvenhoven
Pastor
Harvest Ministries.

People, I was wrong about this! It was all because I posted my link according to the label in You Tube. Anyway, I want to thank Pastor Lodi, the translator and stage host of this conference for correcting my foolish mistake... :)

-------------------------------------------------------

This man of God is fulfilling the prophecy of the Bible that in the end time, the Gentiles will preach the good news back to the Jews. He was preaching in Israel in conjunction with the celebration of Israel's 60th year coming back as a nation and he was addressing the issues of the world against the Jews as well as the love of God for the Jews. He was preaching the new covenant truth and expounding grace to point Jesus to the Jews. The message is touching and is refreshing. Watch the magnification of God's glory in his message and his heart and love for the people of Israel.

I am delighted to witness this on video and is the joy of my heart to see the sound of grace being echo in the land of the Bible.

Destined To Reign

There is a gospel revolution going on around the world to day. This book "Destined To Reign" by Joseph Prince, is expounding the gospel preached by Apostle Paul in the Bible. It has been highly sought by those who have been enlightened by the grace message. It is therefore, recommended for those whom the Holy Spirit has knocked on their hearts to call them out from their confusion in their Christian walk. This confusion is caused by sitting under the ministry of preaching the mixture of law and grace. Read this book and let the truth set you free.

John 1:17 - For the law was given through Moses, GRACE and TRUTH CAME by Jesus Christ.

John 1:14 - The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of GRACE and TRUTH.

This book is available at MPH, the Spring and Crossway Bookstore. Get your copy today and get ready to reign in your life!

Christ Vs Religion

Christ frees us while religion binds us
Christ motivates while religion regulates
Christ gives us grace while religion gives us laws
Christ gives us gift while religion demands us to give
Christ first loves us while religion demands us to love
Christ reaches out to us while religion reaches out to God
Christ deals with the root while religion deals with the fruits
Christ magnifies our attitude while religion controls our action
Christ teaches us WHY to do while religion teaches us what to do
Christ conquers us with love while religion controls us with threatening
Christ strengthens us with affection while religion weaken us with austerity
Christ is our Righteousness while religion demands us to produce our own righteousness

Nestle Tropicana Plus Ice Cream

This is my new found favourite - Nestle Tropicana Plus ice cream with fresh mango. This ice cream is very delicious, available at Crossway Bookstore and cost you RM1.80.

The word "Mango" (see it as man go) triggers me again. So I call this ice cream an Evangelistic Ice Cream.

Cha Siu Baau

During our first combine care group meeting at Lynn’s house, Penny made Cha Siu Baau for that night's refreshment. The Baau tasted so good that we all requested Penny to make again for the next combine care group meeting.

On the second combine care group meeting, it was disappointing that the dough of the Baau was not properly raised and the Cha Siu Baau looked odd. However, despite of this little disappointment, we managed to finish the Baau because the Cha Siu and the lean meat inside were delicious. If you don't believe in me, you can always ask Richard and Owen. They can tell you; and in the mouth of two or three, it will be so!

We had a postmortem when we went home from that meeting and Penny found out that she did not knead the dough long enough. She actually rushed through the process as time was constrained due to the fact that she made these Baau after work and had to be on time for the meeting that evening.

We ran through the process last night and have the dough thoroughly kneaded. The outcome was perfect. It was even better than the first time and it was the best Cha Siu Baau she ever made.

Dough that has been thoroughly kneaded

Multitudes of dough rolled into shape

The inner beauties of the Baau

Ready made Baau waiting for their turn to the steamer

Think straight. Lean meat Baau on the left and Cha Siu on the right

Yummy yummy...

After saying all this, I want you to know that, the process of the making bread or the dough of the Baau signifies the process of the sufferings of our Lord Jesus. We need to knead the dough thoroughly to have a good Baau and Jesus had went through the sufferings thoroughly to give us good life. He did not spare Himself from any of our sufferings that would be leave behind for us to suffer on this earth. He had absorbed them all and He said, "It's finished!" If the kneading of the dough is not thorough, the Baau will not be nice. He went through the process of our sufferings thoroughly so that we can receive the everlasting peace and life that He died to give us.

Isaiah 53: 4~5 Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.

We need to grind wheat to get flour. We have to mix the flour with water for kneading until we get dough. When the Baau is made, we need to put them into the steamer to steam. A delicious Cha Siu Baau is then ready. This whole process, is signifying the sufferings of our Lord in three stages. First, the grinding of flour, He was at the Mount of Olive praying, where His sweat turn into blood. Secondly, the kneading of the flour to obtain dough, He was smitten, struck and pierced by the Roman soldiers. Thirdly, the Baau has to be steamed in high temperature, He was offered as a scarify and was judged on the cross.

The Baau making process is just a normal event in my everyday life. Nobody has ever told me that, truth pointing to the cross can also be found in the things I do in my everyday life. How many of such incidients have rubbed over my shoulder and passed me by and I am not sensitive enough to benefit from it.

God has open up a new revelation in the area of eating in my life. Eating seems meaningful now when Christ and His finished work can be magnified and found in many types of our food.

This fresh understanding of the grace of our Lord came after I have watched Louie Giglio preached on “How great is our God”. This message has blown me up and the revelation of the grace of our Lord just does not stop here….

The Greatness of Our God Is Magnified At The Cross

I had never heard of Louie Giglio until William brought back the DVD “How Great Is Our God” from Australia. Giglio is the Visionary Architect and Director of Passion Conference in US. In this DVD, Giglio uses his illustration of God’s creation of the universal to magnify how great is our God and subsequently he pull back his illustration from the magnificent Black Hole in the Whirlpool Galaxy to a small molecule found in human’s body call Laminin.

The Galaxy

It is awesome to find out how big is the universal and it is equally awesome to discover Laminin, a microscopic size protein found in human body, which helps to anchor the actual organs to the membrane. The Black Hole at the center of Whirlpool Galaxy is marked with the sign of a cross and so is Laminin. Awesome….

The Laminin

The function of Laminin in our body is like the steel structure in the concrete that bind the structures of the building together. Indeed, we are all fearfully and wonderfully made by Him.

Colossians 1: 16~17 For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Giglio is a powerful communicator, but more importantly he speaks of the power of God’s glory in His creation and indeed, he succeed in pointing us to Christ.

This DVD is highly recommended. I have been self centered for too long in my life and his preaching came at the right time to impact my mind. My vision of God has been revolutionized by Giglio and I started to see grace in Christ on a different aspect of life.....

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)

I first heard of this song in New Creation Church's Sunday Service on 13th July 2008. I was touched. William, a lovely brother of mine, he just came back from Hillsong Conference. He gave me a DVD entitled "How Great is Our God" by Louie Giglio, the Visionary Architect and Director Of Passion Conferences. This preacher just freeze me with his awesome insight of God. The "aftermath" of his preaching prompted me to search You Tube for Laminin, and this song by Chris Tomlin was on the same page of my search result. Coincidence...?

You may say that I am so slow to receive.... but my Lord is always faithful, He will never let any good thing pass me by. Good thing happen to those who know God loves them. This is grace and this is the aroma of my Lord.

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

Photographer Vs Camera Man

What is the difference between a Photographer and a Camera Man? Look at the photos below and differentiate for yourself. Photos were taken by Norman and he is a Photographer. There is a photo here which was taken by me, and I can only call myself a Camera Man. Ha ha....

A photographer's work has composition, artistic, and although it is a still image, it is lively. He tells you story through his photo. Whereas a Camera Man only gives you a picture.

So if you need somebody to cover an important event, look for a Photographer.

Durian Cake with Pistachio Nut MK II

This is the "face lift" version of the Durian Cake with Pistachio Nut with additional topping of Durian Puffs and Durian Love Letters. The Pistachio Nuts are more raw as compared to the original version to give a more crunchy feel.

This cake was ordered by one of the staffs in Hilton Hotel.

Discerning the Spirit

I was saved in a Charismatic Christian background, baptized through water immersion; filled with Holy Spirit, tongue speaking and devil chasing.

In my early day as a young Christian, I had a lot of opportunities to involve in casting out evil spirits. We witnessed different kinds of manifestation and would conclude among ourselves that there were many types of “evil spirit”. So I was told that one must know how to discern the spirits as what the Bible has said.

That was a big task for me. It was unheard of for a physical being to discern a spiritual being. I just did not know how. Whenever I ask the elder Christians, they would tell me what they saw from the physical point of view of which, I also could see for myself. I was persistent to know how but they could not answer my questions. So they asked me to ask Jesus.

They could not be wrong on this, so I asked Jesus…

I did not just ask questions on discernment only but everything that I could not understand; I started to ask my Lord, Jesus...

Praise the Lord for His wisdom and faithfulness. He did not answer all my questions but He made me understand my questions and from there, He enabled me to answer my own questions! Sometimes, He would just ask me questions and when I answered Him, His questions gave me the answers and made me understand.

He first enlightened me with His grace and He built me up on the platform of His righteousness. He revealed to me the differences of the different covenants that He had made with mankind. He asked me to focus on the cross which was the center and the turning point for all mankind. He made me understand the meaning of “It’s finished!” and He did not just stop at “It’s finished!” He continued to show me what He had accomplished through the cross and what His finished work had brought, through Apostle Paul’s letters. Indeed, He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

He set me free from condemnation and as I grew in His grace, the answers to my questions started to reveal one by one.

Thank God that I was asked to ask Jesus. If not, I will still be living in confusion and not having any of my questions answered!

Discerning the spirit is not about the discerning on the types of evil spirit but discerning whether a person is ministering the word of God that has been filtered through the cross. Every human being is a spirit being. When we share the word of God, are we sharing the new covenant truth or are we sharing by mixing the old and new? Or are we ministering to people as if Jesus has not yet die on the cross? Are we preaching the gospel of Jesus or the gospel of Pharisee?

Jesus came in flesh so that He could die on the cross to accomplish the Father’s will. So if we acknowledge Jesus who came in flesh, then we must also acknowledge the finished work He had done on the cross. If He did not laid down His life to die for us on the cross, He will still be going from places to places healing people on the street, casting out devils from people, teaching people the truth because He is of no sins. If He is of no sins, He will not die. As for us, we are sinful and although we are healed by Him but when we die, we still go to hell! He chose to lay down His life and died on the cross because He came in flesh.

Any message that is not filtered through the cross will bind people. A message that has been filtered through the cross is of the new covenant truth and will set people free. Apostle Paul, who is known as the Apostle to the Gentile and Apostle of grace, had only the old testament materials as his resources and references during his time. But through these resources, he wrote majority letters of the new covenant. These letters were written based on the shadow of the old covenant and he expounded the realities through Jesus' death on the cross. These are present day's living words that are setting people free and are fit for feeding in the congregation. When we feed the congregation with these new covenant truth, we are feeding them with the Bread of Life. If we feed the congregation with law or mixture, we are actually feeding them with stones. Discern who is trying to turn the stones into bread?

Old covenant preaching brings us to sin consciousness while new covenant preaching makes us righteousness conscious. Old covenant preaching makes us self consciousness while new covenant preaching makes us Jesus consciousness. Discern the spirit; are we being ministered by new covenant spirit or old covenant spirit?

Unless we are established in grace, or else we can never know how to discern the spirit. When you smell grace, you know that Jesus is being preached. Just like when you smell the aroma of coffee, you know that the famous coffee outlet, Starbucks is just round the corner.

Grace is the aroma of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jigsaw Puzzle of Life

There are many kinds of jigsaw puzzle in the market. Some are very simple to fix and some are of 1,000 pieces and is challenging to fix. Our life in this world is just like the jigsaw puzzle. We thought we can fix this jigsaw puzzle of life ourselves but in actual fact, we can’t. As for me, I had been trying to fix my own jigsaw puzzle for 39 years and still remain a puzzle to me. Only when I had come to Jesus, the Creator of the puzzle of my life, it was then gloriously graciously fixed.

Hans is enjoying and showing off his completed jigsaw puzzle

When I accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour, He handed over this jigsaw puzzle of life to me in a finished and completed form. He said to me that this puzzle of life is for me to enjoy and for me to admire at the beauty of His creative work. If we are enjoying our Lord, His beautiful creation and His finished work, we are indeed, at rest in Him. In the midst of our rest, our inner beings know that we have been reconciled with God and our sins have been forgiven.

However, this beautiful scenario does not last long because the truth is not being preached for the establishment of faith. There is a conspiracy out there to log me off my resting mode and the incorrect preaching activated my working mode again. When my working mode was activated, I started to dismantle this jigsaw puzzle of life and trying my effort to fix this puzzle again. This is the nature of a human being whose default mode is work and labour because of self righteousness. A human being with self righteousness cannot rest with gifts that are unmerited. They must work or labour themselves to deserve the things that are given to him.

Little Neil, Hans' little brother, is too young to fix jigsaw puzzle, he only knows how to dismantle!

The truth of the matter is Jesus Christ had completed everything that was needed to be completed on the cross to accomplish the redemption plan for the world according to the will of our Heavenly Father. There is nothing leave for me to do to deserve this salvation from God. Jesus’ finished work is perfect and complete according to God’s knowledge and not according to my limited knowledge. I did not deserve eternal life but Jesus gave me eternal life by grace. I did not deserve blessings but when I received Jesus as my Saviour, my Heavenly Father had already blessed me in heavenly realm with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

When Jesus enlightened me with His grace, truth started to establish me and I discovered my completed jigsaw puzzle of life again. Hallelujah, why am I so foolish to dismantle my completed jigsaw puzzle? It is beautiful in God's eye and why am I not appreciating it? He reminded me again and again to look to Him, to enjoy Him and to rest in Him, knowing that it is a finished work.

What a life...

Is your Jigsaw Puzzle of Life a finished work?

Hillsong Conference 2008

William, a disciple whom Jesus loves, brought back these valuable materials from Hillsong Conference 2008 in Sydney, Australia. Though we are unable to be there, our Lord remembers all of us in SIB Grace and grants special favour to us because we in SIB Grace, are the Church that Jesus loves.

Pastor Joseph Prince was the main speaker in this conference. It was reported in New Creation Church's Sunday Service that, grace messages were preached in different aspects by all the invited speakers from all over the world. Over 40,000 attendance were recorded in this conference. What a gospel revolution!

Thank you Vicky for blessing us with these DVD and Roselind for the Hillsong Conefrence T shirt and thank you William for being our angel to bring back all these spiritual foods and blessings from this conference.

Divine Practical Assignment

My family and I were in Singapore from 11th to 13th July 2008. Of course our main purposes for this visit were to attend New Creation Church's Sunday service, visit some of the Shopping Centers in Singapore, our friends and relatives.

There are not many changes in Singapore. Everywhere you can see people walking. Singaporeans are good in walking and they are fast too. The infrastructures too, are at their best condition. There are some good discounts at certain outlets and the children had reasonably good buy from these outlets. We have one and a half days to do our shipping, meet our friends and relatives.

Richard, I could not find Pho Bo "Vietnamese Beef Rice Noodle" in Ngee Ann City this time. This stall has been replaced by other type of Beef Noodle stall. What a waste....

There is one thing I realized in this trip is that, I found myself easily anger and frustrated in a few occasions as my legs grew tired while I was trying to catch up with my family. My wife reminded me a few times to mind myself so as not to ruin the fun of this holiday. I wanted to do good and wanted to avoid myself from being easily angry over certain thing but I grew weak when the strength of my legs grew weak.

Walking to NCC. These photos were taken by Norman. He is a Photographer not a Camera Man.

When Sunday came, we were well rested and refreshed. We were early to be on our way to New Creation Church in Suntec City Mall. We used the Citylink Mall to go to Suntec City Mall from our Hotel. It was Pastor Joshua’s turn to preach that Sunday and his sermon was “Anger Management”. My wife and I met at our eyes, gosh....what a divine inspired sermon! I presume this is another syllabus for me and this trip to Singapore is another practical assignment from the Kingdom Academy.

The queue up church

It is not to our intention that, we all want to do good and avoid doing evil. Touch your heart folk, how many of you can agree with me? Even though we are already a Christian; we would try to do good and try our best to avoid doing evil. It is good that we do good and it is real bad when we do evil. By doing all these, we are ignorant that we are actually eating from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil! Our evil doing is already bad while our good deed is also equally bad because there is no life in the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. It is bad because we are eating from the wrong tree!

As we all have been enlightened by grace, we are supposed to put our faith in eating from the Tree of Life instead of the knowledge of Good and Evil. In and out of ourselves, we have nothing good and how can we do good? Beside, our anger is just a sign that we are frustrated with our failure in our attempt to do good but we put this blame on others. The accuser of the brethren has been using our failures to condemn us. We feel condemned when we realize we have failed again. We got to wake up and know the truth that; this is just a sign to tell us that we have been eating from the wrong tree and do not receive it as a condemnation.

We are in Christ and there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set us free from the law of sin and death.

We do wrong because we are trying to eat from the tree of the knowledge of Good or Evil. If we eat from the Tree of Life, we can never be wrong because God can never makes mistake. While we are eating from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil, the accuser of the brethren is there to condemn us because he hangs around in that tree.

Once we have been established in grace, we all know that we are forgiven of all our sins, past, present and future, but do not just stop at the knowledge that we are forgiven. The Bible says in Hebrews 10:17~24, after we know that we are forgiven, we must have the confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus to obtain help from Him. The Bible also says that, those who wait on the Lord, his strength will be renewed like an eagle and the Lord also told Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

Folks, when we fail, do not let our failure condemns us but let our failure trigger us to admit that we are weak and let us enter and wait on Him and He, who is faithful, will give us strength to do the real good deed.

Again, this trip to New Creation Church has been a blessing to me and I have attended a divinely orchestrated three days two nights practical course from the Headmaster of my Bible Academy. I have been awakened by Pastor Joshua’s sermon and I want to eat from the tree of Life. I still do not know how but one thing I know for sure is that, I must repent (renew my mind). Once I renew my mind from the old way of my conducts, every responsible falls back to Him. He, who is faithful, will give me strength to do the real good deed. Once the good deed flows out from my life, I will know that this is from my Lord, not me.

Which tree are you eating from...?

Live In Israel vol. 1

We have just finished watching this DVD teaching “Live in Israel vol. 1” by Pastor Joseph Prince of New Creation Church last night. As this DVD series consists of three episodes, we watched these video teachings in three sessions during K Group gathering. My K Group combined with Sister Lynn’s K Group as we anticipated the overwhelming response from K Group members as well as friends from other denominations.

Robin and Lynn, we just want to say thank you for your kind hospitality and your family is truly overflowing with His blessing and love!

Live in Israel was filmed in Israel on the locations like Mount of beatitudes; Mount Hermon, Mount Arbel, Tabgha and Banias Springs (Caesarea Philippi). These are the locations where our Lord Jesus had preached the messages like Sermon on the Mount, the incident on the mount of transfiguration, the place where Peter acknowledged Jesus as Son of God and Jesus reaffirming Peter three times before He said, "Follow Me!".

These messages delivered by Pastor Joseph Prince are simple but powerful, very refreshing to our spirit and are Christ centered. Although we have heard of theses messages from Pastor Prince over and over again through his CDs, this time around, our eyes were blessed with the amazing views and the well preserved environment of these biblical locations. I used to think that when Jesus went up to the mountain to pray, that mountain is full of trees. But in actual fact, there are no trees at all. On the other occasion where Jesus reaffirmed Peter at the shore of Sea of Galilee. In my mind, sea of Galilee is full of fine sand, but in actual fact, the sand is just like tiny stone.

With the combination of our ears and our eyes, the Holy Spirit expounded more and deeper truths to us during these three sessions of video teaching. The sound of “Amen” could be heard all over the room!

During our gatherings, we had our praise and worship at the living room, the video sessions at the video room and our refreshment in the dining room. These three places are known as the outer court, the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies respectively. We were blessed by the awesome worship at the outer court, the spirit edifying messages at the Holy Place and abundant of God’s grace and provision in the Holy of Holies.

Don't be missled by this image, we have another table full of foods!

I think the word “refreshment” is not very appropriate here. I should use the word “feast”! Our food varieties ranged from the local native foods to the pasta of Italy, from Roti Canai of India to the loaves from French and from local noodles to creamy spaghetti . These foods on the table made a big contrast with the poster of the Last Supper on the wall which expounded the new covenant truth of the abundant of God’s grace and provision after the cross.

However, these gatherings had leaved us with lots of fond memories and our spirit, soul and body had been well blessed and edified!
