The Air That I Breathe

The system of Hebrew numerals  is a quasi-decimal  alphabetic numeral system using the  letters  of  the   Hebrew  alphabet. The  Hebrew   Numerical  5,  is  Hei  ה  in Hebrew.  The image of the  letter  Hei ה  is a window. The  picture of a window is in the sense of allowing air and light to come into our life.  It is an opening by which the  light and the  air outside  can reach us. The  letter  stems from  a root that means "to breathe", and to be able to see and to breathe are indeed,  two vital aspects of life. These vital aspects of life are gracious gifts given by the Creator of this universe…  and subsequently,  Hei  ה also carries the meaning of God's grace.

Hei ה is BREATH, and Hei ה is also GRACE...

Ephesians 2:8 ~ For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.

When we believed in Jesus, we also believed that He had provided a death for us and therefore, we believed we were buried with Him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father; even so we also should walk in newness of life. We are born again in the Spirit; and we are now in Christ who is seated at the right hand of the Heavenly Father.

John 3:5 ~ Jesus answered; Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

If we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him. (Romans 6:8) And for we died, and our life is hidden with Christ in God. (Colossians 3:3) Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father; even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:4)  And if Christ is in you, indeed the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (Romans 8:10)

We are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, for to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Unless we have the revelation that we are dead to law and alive in Christ... This Hei ה, God's breath, is not for us to enjoy because we are still struggling in our flesh to breathe our own breath. Our struggles actually cause us to fall away from grace!

Galatians 5:4 ~ You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grcae.

All the epistles written by Apostle Paul are talking about the spiritual truth. They are written for the spiritual being like us, the Church or the born again believers. We are unable to appreciate His grace because we do not believe that we are already dead with Christ and alive in the Spirit. We are still struggling with our own efforts to please Mr. Law, our first husband. The truth is... all believers are breathing His breath and are judiciously married to Mr. Grace!

Romans 7:4 ~ Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.

When we do not have the revelation that we are already dead with Christ two thousand years ago, we are unable to understand that we are actually breathing His breath. But when the Holy Spirit quickens us to understand this precious truth, we will begin to understand that we are living in His grace and breathing His breath.  It is His breath that keeps us alive… It is His grace that keeps us alive!

Galatians 2:20  ~ I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf.

His breath is for the dead while His grace is also for the dead.  His breath is for those who walk in the Spirit and His grace is also for those who walk in the Spirit. While His breath enable us to walk in the Spirit... His grace also enable us to walk in the Spirit!

His breath is the air that I breathe... and His grace is also the air that I breathe... Hei ה

  1. Amen bro... He is our every breath...

Col 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

Really wonder... how many of us comprehend?
