In Remembrance Of My Belated Father: Hiu Kiang Fen

My belated father migrated from China to Borneo in his youth. His motto and principle throughout his life on earth was: "If one treats you kindly, you have to be doubly kind to him in return." He taught us this principle since we were young and personally practiced it until his breathed his last on earth. He made sure that he brought trouble on no one else and had been carrying his own burden throughout his life. Because of this principle of his, we children sometimes found it a bit frustrating in our dealings with him because if we gave him a treat, he would find ways to give double to us instead.

My belated father was a good man. He lived a good and conscientious life. We are proud to learn from his friends that he was a good man, even a very good man… Surely we are proud to have him as our father and grandfather. Anyway, a good man also needs to be saved.

Many use the noun 'God' for their gods. Our Chinese character, '’  is made of '' (which means 'god') on the left and '’ (which means 'proclaim, declare' or 'three o'clock in the afternoon') on the right. So who's the God that is depicted by this Chinese character '‘? Jesus on the cross (note that '’ is made up with '’ (mouth) and '’ 字架(cross)) from whose mouth cried 'It is finished!' on the cross at 3pm 2,000 years ago IS the God that '’ portrays.

My father came to know this '' and accepted Jesus Christ 10 years ago when he was 75 years old. The Lord had been good and gracious to him and fulfilled all his wishes on this earth. He'd lived a full life indeed. As he had carried his burdens on his own all his life, he was tired… he needed a rest and I see that his physical death is a good thing for him now as he is finally released of his burden and rest in the bosom of our dear Lord Himself today in heaven. I am not speculating on where he is now. I am very sure that he is with the Lord Jesus Christ today in heaven, to the place where He 'd prepared for him. Psalm 23:6 says: "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Today is the 23rd of June (the 6th month). We used this scripture verse for the obituary as well but not knowing the coincidence then...  The Lord had chosen this special day for my father's funeral and burial to assure us of His goodness and mercy and where my father is at now. Hallelujah! There is no fear in death. We have to die to go to heaven just like a baby needs to leave the mother's womb in order to be born into this world.

My belated father used to share with me when I drove him to church on Sundays. Once he spoke to me in parable, just like our Lord Jesus. He didn't use birds in the air nor flowers in the field as examples. He spoke to me about fish instead. He said both salted fish and fish in the sea come in contact with salt , however one is dead and the other is alive. He said we as Christians should live out the abundant life within like that of the fish in the sea, not as the dead salty fish. What a profound message the Lord had revealed to his dear child, my elderly brother in Christ, my dear father in his old age!

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who had served and shared fellowship in Christ with my father in the past 10 years of his walk with the Lord. Thank you for all that you did for him.

And I would like to say thank you to all who offer your condolences, love gifts and all kinds of help during our bereavement and your presence with us today at the memorial service.

Thank you very much.

Moving By Grace In The Holy Spirit's Gifts

Flow effortlessly and super-naturally in the gifts of the Holy Spirit! Join Joseph Prince in part one of this exciting message preached at a servers' camp for New Creation Church, Singapore. Uncover what the nine gifts are and be encouraged to know that every believer can operate in these grace gifts. Whether it is your family, ministry or work, this message will stir your faith and help you to minister and operate in the power of the Holy Spirit!

Pastor Joseph Prince

I was preaching on communion with a new insight given by the Lord in our Mandarin Service on the same week as Pastor Prince touched on 1 Corinthians 11 at the end of this video. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are grace gifts... unearned, unmerited and undeserved. Only those who are well established in the gift of righteousness then these free gifts can manifested in their life!

Wow... It is good to be righteous by FAITH!

Transfer Of Wealth

Believer: “Father God… Please give me money…!” “You know that I have been praying for money for a long time already….”

Father God: “I don’t have money… In heaven there is no money… The least valuable thing in Heaven is gold and I have used them to make road…”

God cannot lie. What He says is true. There is no money in Heaven. Let us ask from God wisely and let us ask for wisdom instead of money… Do not ask for a "wife" or husband" from Him also... Because wife or husband belong to others and He has to separate "husband and wife" to give you the "wife" or "husband" that you are praying for! That is not possible because our God is a good God... Ask for wisdom instead of wife or husband...!

The wealth of the sinner is led up for the righteous. The money is in this world and in this end time, the money is from the sinners and the money will be supernaturally transfer to those who are righteous by faith, like Abraham!

The bible sets forth a divine plan of God that as we draw near to the second return of Jesus, His Kingdom will grow through out the world and His kingdom will draw in the wealth of the ungodly and will use it to bless and bring the Kingdom to the poor and lost and the last and the least. This plan must surely stir every member of the body of Christ to step out and play their part in this plan and plunder the ungodly of their wealth and pass it on to the extension of the Kingdom.

Proverbs 13:22 ~ A good man leaves an inheritance to his sons' sons, and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

Ecclesiastes 2:26 ~ ‘To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God’

Isaiah 60:5 ~  Then you shall fear and become bright, and your heart shall throb and swell for joy; because the abundance of the sea shall turn to you, the wealth of the nations will come to you.

Isaiah 60:11 ~ Therefore your gates will always be open; they will not be shut day nor night, to bring to you the wealth of the nations, and their kings may be led.

Isaiah 61:6 ~ ‘You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast’.

Isaiah 66:12 ~ ‘I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream’.

At the time of writing this post, a Facebook friend of mine Terence Yeo from New Creation Church, posted on Facebook an article on the nation of Israel discovered a world potential largest gas field off the coast of Israel. The other referential article is "Will Bible Lead To Oil Reserve Under Israel?" This discovery is just in time before the turmoil in Egypt which had been number one gas exporter to Israel. With this discovery, Israel is now energy independent soon! Pastor Joseph Prince preached on this in 90s and early 2000s. Now in 2009, the prophesy is fulfilled !

My heart was impressed by these verses from the 26th chapter of Book of Leviticus lately. It is towards the end of the book. The proclamation of the blessings from God started towards the end of this book because this book is all about the ordinances and the types of scarification pointing to Jesus' work at the cross.

Leviticus
26:6 ~ I will bless your country with peace, and you will rest without fear. I will wipe out the dangerous animals and protect you from enemy attacks.
26:7 ~ You will chase and destroy your enemies,
26:8 ~ even if there are only five of you and a hundred of them, or only a hundred of you and ten thousand of them.
26:9 ~ I will treat you with such kindness that your nation will grow strong, and I will also keep my promises to you.
26:10 ~ Your barns will overflow with grain each year.
26:11 ~ I will live among you and never again look on you with disgust.
26:12 ~ I will walk with you--I will be your God, and you will be my people.
26:13 ~ I am the LORD your God, and I rescued you from Egypt, so that you would never again be slaves. I have set you free; now walk with your heads held high.

Father God will have respect to us, and make us fruitful, and multiply us, and establish His covenant with us, because we have respected His Son’s finished Work at the Cross… and we have respected the ultimate will of our Father God in Heaven. We believe in His finished work and we are righteous by faith, so did Abraham, the father of faith!

God Incidence... Again!

The Secret Of Hearing That Brings Untold Blessings by Pastor Joseph Prince

Romans 10:17 ~ Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ!

This Video Clip which was posted on Facebook today and it shocked me a little... What a God incidence to find out that I was actually sharing the same context of this message in my Mandarin Service last Sunday.  But my sermon title was "Take Heed How You Hear!"

PASSWORD

I sent my home modem to the authorized dealer for servicing this afternoon … and when I reached my office, I got a call from the Technician informing me that this modem needed to be reprogrammed. He was asking for my Streamyx (Broadband Service Provider) password…. and my oh my… how could I remember this password? This password was used only in installation and I was not familiar with it... I started to scan my memories, trying to recall this password… then I realized that for the pass twenty years, I have “owned” for myself quite a number of passwords…

Have you ever think of this question…?

How many passwords do you have?

As for me, I have three passwords in my work place. One for my PC, one for my Lotus Note and the other one for SAP system. I have been bucking by these three systems regularly to change my passwords every now and then. At times, I find myself running out of password to use...

Apart from my workplace, I have passwords for my mobile phone, my iTune account, bank accounts, internet banking accounts, e mail accounts, Streamyx (Broadband Service Provider) account, facebook account, Podbean account, Blog accounts, home WiFi access and the security system in my house!

When I was thinking “hard” for this long forgotten password, my office mail suddenly popped up…! “PASSWORD!”... It was a mail from my IT Department asking for my passwords to my PC and Lotus Note so that they can configure my new PC…! Wow… PASSWORD again…! What a "God incidence" moment…! Yahoo… New computer for me? At the most undeserved moment? (Actually I was in the midst of my flustration... struggling to recover that password... Can somebody tell me... is this not GRACE?)

In a flick of a second, I was prompted by the Spirit to realize that our Lord Jesus through His perfect work at the cross had torn down every single password that had been set up by religions for man to reach God. Because of His love, He lavished His grace, the unearned, undeserved and unmerited favour to us at the cross… and whoever believe in His Son shall not perish but have eternal life. The password to this salvation is to “BELIEVE”! To BELIEVE in the One He had sent...

In today’s IT world, whenever we clock in to our office for work, we must first log in to our PC with our password... So, are you serious to work for God? If you are really serious, you must also log in with your password too… The password to His work is also to “BELIEVE”!

John 6:28 ~ Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?"
John 6:29 ~ Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to BELIEVE in the one he has sent."

With this revelation, my heart was warm, and suddenly came with an understanding knowledge of this long forgotten password… I rang up the Technician, tell him the password and the rest is history! With this modem being installed back to my home PC, and here I am, publishing this yet another "God incidence" post!

Thank you Jesus!

God Incidence

My oh my... I have witnessed the move of the Spirit in my walk with the Lord again. This is yet another  "God incidence" when I read Steve McVey's recent post on "Two Covenants, Not One". I was amazed to notice that the Holy Spirit who is revealing this truth to him has also been revealing the same truth to me. What a honor to realize that I have preached on the same subject in my Chinese congregation two to three months ago, encouraging them to walk out of the confusion and enter into God's rest... When I read through his post, his sharing is so familiar to me and yet very refreshing. Wow... What a life to walk in His grace...

Please sit back and relax and enjoy Steve's sharing on the Two Covenants in the Bible.

For the past three weeks, I've been sharing a three-part series of teachings on the "Sunday Preaching" broadcast called, "Two Covenants, Not One." For many years, I stayed confused when I read the Bible because I didn't understand this simple aspect of understanding the Scripture. The Old and New Covenant are very different from each other in many ways. God told those in the old covenant that a day was going to come when He would make a new covenant with His people and it would not be like the covenant He had made with them through their Fathers. (See Jeremiah 31:31-32) Through Jesus Christ, that day came to us so that now the covenant He has made is totally different - not at all the same. It's new and, according to Hebrews 8:13, the old one is "obsolete." It has passed away. It's gone, expired, finished, over!

This fact is a sticking point in many people's minds. "Isn't the Old Testament God's Word?" they will ask? Of course the Old Testament is as much a part of the Bible as the New Testament, but here's a key that will help us immeasurably when we understand it. The Old Testament was not written to us! It was written for us, but not to us. (See Romans 15:4) There's a big difference. That's why the Apostle Paul cautioned Timothy to take great care to ensure that he would "rightly divide the word of truth" when he taught the Bible. (See 2 Timothy 2:15) All kind of trouble is created in our minds and lives when we don't do that.

Divine Arrangement...

About two weeks ago, I was very much enlightened by a message excerpt by Pastor Joseph Prince which was posted on the Facebook. The title of this excerpt is Receive Restoration As You Walk With Jesus, which was preached on the 10th of October 2010. It was a special day indeed...When I posted this excerpt on Facebook and my Blog, I was thinking to myself: "How long do I need to wait to have this message CD..." and then on the 22nd of this month, about ten days from then, this CD message was miraculously in my hand. It was a divine arrangement through a sister who attends NCC, came back to Kuching to visit her family. I did not share with anyone regarding my thought... Nobody knew of my thought but the Lord…!

The moment I watched this excerpt, there was a confirmation in my heart (as my heart was burning). This excerpt is in line and at the same time, the continuation of the message that I have preached in my Chinese Service on the same date...! Wow... He is preparing my message for my next sharing! My preaching on that Sunday was about reminding us as believers who are under His grace, to use our heart to comprehend His grace instead of our mind (brains)... Many believers walked away from grace because they have been using their logical mind (brains) to comprehend His grace. Our brains (right and left brains) is actually a shadow of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and the two Stones of the 10 Commandments... Although the Lord has called us out of our previous environment (the ministry that the glory is faded away) into a grace environment, we still find it hard to walk with Him because we have used the wrong organ. We cannot walk out of our "flesh" if we keep on engaging our logical mind. If it is logical, it is not of faith....We cannot walk in the Spirit if we do not use our heart...

Romans 8:1 ~ There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh (use their brains), but according to the Spirit (use their heart).

This video Message excerpt is about the experience on the road to Emmaus… The disciples partook of the Bread, that is the picture of the Lord’s body as well as the Tree of Life, their eyes were opened. The eyes were opened to see the Lord. Thus, their eyes were opened to see their righteousness, their abundance, their life… and their hearts were burning.

Whereas in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve partook of the wrong tree and their eyes were opened too, but their eyes were opened to see their nakedness, their lack, their sinfulness… and their hearts were fearful…

Only Jesus knows His Father’s will perfectly and praise God, He has given us His own heart. The Bible in the book of Ezekiel chapter 11 verse 19 says, I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. He had given us His own heart. The burning heart that we have now is Jesus' heart. This burning heart is always led by the Holy Spirit, will always be Christ centered and thus..., we can walk with Him with His attitude of grace.

On the other hand, our logical mind can only leads us to see what the world has. It is in this world that we see our lack, our nakedness, our sinfulness. When the logical mind is in control, man made religion is in control...

Adam and Eve by eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, the eyes of their mind were opened, and were opened to man made religion... We who are under His grace, the bread (His Body) opened up the eyes of our heart, and are opened to see His grace...

Is your heart burning now...?

A Pastor With A Big Heart

Last Sunday, 17 October 2010, Elder Alex and I preached at The NEW COVENANT Church (tNCC) in Kuala Lumpur upon invitation from their Pastor, Peter Sze.  Elder Alex preached at their English service while I was sharing at their Chinese fellowship. It was an amazing experience preaching and sharing at a Church very similar to ours and to believers energized by the Gospel of Grace.

tNCC was born about a year ago and has grown fast into a Church with 250 members.   About a dozen of our Church members studying or working in Kuala Lumpur are attending this Church. tNCC meet at Wisma Atria, an old shopping mall in Petaling Jaya.   Their story is very much similar to ours when members from all backgrounds offered to serve in the newly formed ministries.  Like SIB Grace, they have bought the best equipments whenever possible. It is also a God incidence that they also have after service refreshment.

It was encouraging to see some of our young people serving there. Norman operated and cleaned up their sound system for them, while Darren has been with their worship team for quite sometime.

Pastor Peter and his wife Seefen
We had a refreshing 2 days fellowship with Pastor Peter who opened up his house to us.   As we fellowship, I learned that he actually started this Church with his wife and children and since then, many from the Methodist Churches, Full Gospel Assembly and various other Churches have joined them.

Pastor Peter is indeed, a pastor with a big heart... We were amazed to see that his big house is actually a meeting place for his members throughout the day or even week and all the invited speakers stayed there.

tNCC is supporting Churches in Cambodia with finances, teaching materials and teachers.   The Pastor in charge of this Cambodian Ministry had a miraculous healing that Pastor Joseph Prince mentioned in his books and this is the same place where Pastor Joshua Lee had ministered to. We also learnt that this was  a supernatural connection when the Cambodian Ministry's previous support pulled out, God miraculously brought in tNCC.

Elder Alex has told Pastor Peter that SIB Grace would also explore ways which we could partner them in the Cambodian work.  Elder Alex also mentioned that it would be a good idea to introduce the ministry of Susan Hoover in Medan to tNCC because of their geographical location.

Pastor Peter has invited Andrew Farley, the author of  The Naked Gospel as speaker for their camp next year and we are delighted to learn that Pastor Peter is able to let us have Andrew Farley for a few days.   Andrew Farley is a well-known grace preacher whose book, “The Naked Gospel” has radically transformed many Christians with the pure Gospel.

Personally, I am always refreshed when God opened a door for me to preach or teach outside SIB Grace.   I am overwhelmed that we are beginning to allow us to minister out of our overflow.  It makes us more resolute to shout this Gospel of Grace.

We are no longer alone!   Besides tNCC, there is a Grace Church in Kuantan and a Tamil Grace Church in Ipoh.  I have met some Chinese speaking believers from Penang preaching grace in Facebook. There is also plenty of Holy Ghost movements at Churches in Indonesia and the Philippines.

So lets cheer, and a goood one...... Grace!  Grace!  Grace!

My Miracle Seed

We booked our ticket to Singapore about a month ago and the purpose of going to Singapore is as usual, to visit the New Creation Church. When we checked up NCC website at the beginning of this month, they announced that Pastor Prince will be away in Indonesia during our time in Singapore. To some, this was indeed a disappointment …

As the date drew near, we found out that Pastor Prince had cancelled his preaching engagement in Indonesia and has been scheduled to preach on the Sunday we were in Singapore… Hallelujah!

Just a few days before our departure, I was informed that the coming Sunday would be their Miracle Seed Sunday. Wow, Miracle Seed Sunday… and what a God incidence… I then made up my mind on the amount to sow but at the airport, I felt the need to go to the ATM machine to make up what the Lord wanted me to sow …

As usual, we reached SunTec City at 7.00am in the morning but to our surprise, the queue was much longer than usual. According to my past experience, we could have secured the first 100 tickets for the reserved seats and have the privilege to break off the queue for our breakfast. But not this time… Before the start of the preaching, Pastor Prince mentioned about Pastor Mark calling him enlightening him of the verse from Genesis 8:22 which was the date for the Miracle Seed Sunday (22.08.2010)…

Genesis 8:22 ~ "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease."

It was a wonderful service and at last, my miracle seed was in the box…

On Monday night, all of us were invited by Pastor Kenny Chee, Senior Pastor of World Revival Prayer Fellowship, to have dinner at his house. I got to know Pastor Kenny through Facebook and was introduced by Pastor Peter Sze of the New Covenant Church in KL. I was told by Pastor Kenny to alight from MRT at Jurong East Station and to wait for him to fetch us from there in two trips. We started our journey at Bugis, using the “Green Route” heading for Jurong East. It was a familiar route for me as my cousin was staying in Clementi twenty years ago before they moved to Choa Chu Kang and then recently settled down in a landed property at Kranji area. I could even memorized each subsequent stations… City Hall..., Tiong Baru, Redhill, Queenstown, Commonwealth, Buona Vista… As the train moved on, I was in the train recapturing my memories... I could still remember when Norman was a little boy, I used to make train stations using his Lego set and we even named the station after Buona Vista, because of its unique pronunciation.

When the train stopped at Buona Vista Station, some familiar structures in the nearby construction yard caught my attention… Hey, that’s 1 North! I have been asking my cousin and friends in Singapore about the location of 1 North but they just gave me the name like Holland Grove and some other names and I could never have any idea where 1 North is located.

At that very moment, I began to realize again how faithful our Lord can be. As He has brought me all the way from Kuching to sow my miracle seed, He would for sure, never let me sowed my seed without knowing where the sowing ground is. To some, I maybe a fool, but praise God, this covenant of grace is fool proof! With all these God incidence moments, this sowing ground is definitely a good sowing ground and my seed was indeed, a miracle seed. For this, I also have to thanks Pastor Kenny for being sensitive to the leading of the Spirit and invited us to his house for dinner. The Beef Goulash that night was fabulous... Adrian, our western food taster could testify to that because he had double portions that night.

At the time of writing this post, the Lord has already given me back my seed. Wow... I am so blessed to be chosen to sow this miracle seed and I am now hopefully expecting the tsunami of blessings that the Lord has promised me at Kuching Airport!

Medan

We spent six days in Medan for sharing the message of the Gospel at Celebration Bible School. For the first time, we have night session at different location from the morning session, which was attended by the members from a Chinese congregation. When we arrived in Medan, we were told by Susan that the Headmaster of the Bible School, Mr. Gola Tiruneh, would be marrying on Friday and the students were a bit disappointed for they won't be able to attend Gola's wedding ceremony at the town called Berastagi, about 2 hours drive from Medan.

So graciously, we all agreed to squeezed the five days lessons into 4 days, so that everybody could go to Berastagi to attend Gola's wedding. Oh... everyone of us were happy!

Celebration Bible School is majoring in mission and the students are from different congregations in Medan. So by nature, they are more work orientated.  As we shared the Gospel of Grace with the students, we found that we were actually killing their sacred cow.  The "aftermath" was, we were getting the same reaction from some of the students as described by Apostle Paul in the Book of Romans. The question of "Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?" automatically came out from their mouth... Wow... what a Gospel! What a Good News! We are actually preaching the message that Apostle Paul preached!

Praise & worship Before Class Started

This Gospel of Grace has waken up some but made some confused. The awaken one began to see light and received revelation by themselves. The confused one still wondering how could it be! This message is too good to be true and there must be something leave for them to do... Ya, grace message is too good to be true. Remember the famous formula frequently quoted by the founder of the Celebration Bible School, Pastor Peter Youngren? i.e. Jesus + something = nothing. Jesus + nothing = everything!

My New Friend In Medan - Pak Yong An

Yong An is my new found friend in Medan. He is a business man and he attends the morning session Bible School. He is one of the awaken one and the most attentive person in class. During our week long stay in Medan, he took time off  to bring us around in Medan. When we were fellowshipping during our meals, I was often jabbed by some of his revelations on grace. Can you see the way he smile? He is an interesting person...

Students From the Night Class

Pak Alex, a friend I knew through Facebook

The night class was make up of believers from one of the Chinese congregation in Medan. They would only have a week class in each month when the invited speaker is available. Alex, a friend I knew through Facebook was attending the night class. Indeed, I am honored to meet him in person. Well, how often can you meet a friend that you know through Facebook? Mind you, this is my second time!

When Friday came, we were all up in the mountain to a town called Berastagi to attend Gola's wedding. Gola is an Ethiopian migrated to Canada and he is a missionary from Pastor Peter Youngren Missionary team. His wife is an Indonesian Chinese, a leader in the local church. That is why the folks in Berastagi called this wedding "the Wedding of the Century". This wedding was witnessed by people from Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, friends and relatives from different parts of Indonesia.

Gola's Wedding

We meet again in Berastagi

As the altitude of Berastagi is approximately 1300m, the weather is cooler as compared to Medan. We could see beautiful flowers all around. The famous market in the street of Berastagi is full of all kinds of colourful fruits ranging from strawberry to avocado...

According to Susan, many teachers would wish to visit Berastagi but they did not have the change to do so. We ware the fortunate one and not only so, we are blessed to witnessed the "Wedding of the Century" in Berastagi.

We felt so bless to have this honor to share the message of Grace with the Bible School. As what we have been experiencing before, whenever we have a change to share the Good News, we are sure to receive new revelation after we have poured out ourselves. This is what I used to call the "Tithing Principle"!

We are looking forwards to return to Medan for more oppertunity to share this wonder good news to the people there...

See The Abundance Within You

Yes, I know you know where this is from... This is taken from Pastor Joseph Prince daily devotional.

Well, from time to time, I fall into the trap of looking at myself and looking at my own lack... I know this thing do happen to you as well... :) Well, how little is considered lack and how much more is considered enough? We all have our own definition. At times when I am too much into my wrong focus, I forget what the Word of God says. What does the Word of God says? Our Lord Jesus see abundance... and that is how our faith comes in.

This message speaks to me today and I hope this will be a blessing to you too...

Luke 17:21 ~ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.

When you were younger, were you often scolded for not finishing all your food or leaving the lights and fan on when you left your room? Were you constantly reminded that there are people starving in the world, that electricity costs a lot of money and that money doesn’t grow on trees? Now, do you find yourself telling your child the same things?

We are naturally conscious of lack, but Jesus isn’t. Even in the midst of lack, He was always conscious of abundance. Remember the little boy’s five loaves and two fish? What did Jesus do when these were placed in His hands? Did He say, “What do you expect Me to do with so little?” No, His eyes were not on the natural, the visible, the lack. His eyes were on the kingdom of God where there is always abundance. So in His hands, the little boy’s lunch was multiplied, and 5,000 men, not counting women and children, were fed that day! (John 6:1–13)

God doesn’t want you to be conscious of the lack in your natural circumstances. He doesn’t want you to live by how much you earn or how much you have in the bank. Now, I am not encouraging you to spend foolishly beyond your means. I am saying that God wants you to be conscious of the abundance of resources in His kingdom.

“But Pastor Prince, where is that kingdom?”

As long as you have received Jesus as your Savior, that kingdom is in you!

Jesus said that “the kingdom of God is within you”. This means that the kingdom of God is not some physical place. It is within you and it is where the abundance of resources is. So if you want to experience abundance in your life, be conscious first of the abundance inside you. Then, what is inside you will become a reality on the outside.

Beloved, God doesn’t want you to be conscious of the lack you see outside you. He wants you to be conscious of the abundance within you because His kingdom is within you!

The Secret

Last Friday night before our rehearsal for the N.O.W. Concert started, I received a SMS from Brother Bartholomew saying that he missed Jesus very much...

(Bartholomew is touched by the grace of our Lord and he is on fire for the Lord...!)

Here is the detail of the SMS...

Bartholomew: I miss Jesus so much... do u?

Me: Why miss? He never leave u nor forsake u... :)

Bartholomew: Don't know... Feel want to hug Jesus. How to hug Him since He is in Me?

Me: Rest Brother, do not be troubled...

Bartholomew: Thanks...

The rehearsal started...

Siew Ping is indeed a "New Creation"!

Happy Hour...

Is it cute to have a brother like him? He is not religious, but like a little boy that Jesus said in the Book of Gospel. I don't think I have given him a good answer... until I reached home that night, I found in one of my Blog link that a better answer has been given...

The answer was given in My Life, My Boy & My Baby on You Don't Know This Secret? posted at 9.47 PM that night!

Thank you Michelle for being sensitive to the prompting of the Spirit... You are indeed blessed to be a blessing!

Grace - Better Than We Know

This is the post When We Meet Grace written by Ryan and Jamie Weeks on 21st July 2008 in their Blog called Better Than We Know. Their Grace encounter is amazing and I'm delighted to see our Lord is revealing Himself in every part of the world.

I found out that we actually started blogging at the same time; and by reading through their blog, their sharing are almost identical in term of revelation and the Lord's prompting. Can you imagine this thing to happen at the same time in two different parts of the world. They are in Dunn, Northern Carolina, United States while we are in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia!!!

Surely our Lord is at work to reveal His love and grace at this age of time. What a Grace Revolution!!!

So fellow Grace-Walker in Christ, be encouraged...!!!

Don't Make Grace A Doctrine!

I have a brother from a different congregation whom God has placed in my life. We work in the same Company but not the same Section and we grow in grace together. We share what God had shown us from time to time and we would come together at His appointed time to share and encourage each other. By His grace, though we are of different congregation, we have the same flow and receive same revelation from the Lord. Our Company vehicle that is allocated to me use to be our little church.

Last week we had a change to meet for breakfast; and he shared with me about his own encounter among his new found circle of fellowship; and they are having their own Bible study session. I was told that a group of youngsters have been trained to preach grace. They emphasis on memorizing the Bible verses and they are good at that. They are very sharp to identify grace in their sharing and they are very quick in quoting Bible verses. The thing is, after a few sessions of attending their Bible study session; he sensed that they tend to beat around the bush with their sharing. The “life” is not there…

That was what he meant and I would agree with him because I could not smell the “aroma”of grace. It gave me a feeling of a pre-programmed bible study session with a little bit of the aroma of legalism.

Can this be another coincidence again? The Lord just led him to me and allowed him to share this matter with me right after my post on “New Wine & the New Wineskin”.

My peace was disturbed, and these are the questions that rose up from the inside of me…

- Is Grace a Person or a doctrine?
- My goodness, if memorizing Bible verses is the requirement, and I am not good in memorize Bible verses, can I still receive grace from Jesus?
- Can we kick aside Jesus and share grace with others?
- If preaching grace of God can be taught, can this be another “religion”?
- Can a man train a man to know grace?

My goodness, as I look back, I don’t think I had known the verses first before I got to know grace. The verses in the Bible did not really change my life; in fact, they bind me. It was Jesus, who had changed my life. It was when I got to know Jesus then I started to know His grace and then the Bible verses. The Bible verses then started to set me free…

Men in their fallen nature can never know grace without the help of the Holy Spirit because grace is divine in its origin. Men can never know grace if they could not believe Jesus loves them. Men can never know grace if Jesus did not finish His work on the cross. Men can never know grace if Jesus was not glorify. Men can never know grace if the Holy Spirit is not given. Men can never know grace if they do not believe that their sin is forgiven (past, present and future). Men can never know grace if they do not know that they are righteous in God’s eye. Men can never know grace if they do not know they are in Christ…

2 Peter 1:2 ~ Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Grace is a Person; don’t make grace a doctrine… If Grace is a doctrine, this will end up in another form of religion…

A Word Of Thanks, Again!

Hey there, fellow grace-walkers in SIB Grace, See The World Through His Heart has been awarded as “Best Christian Blog of The Week” on 24th August 2008, by Cyberanger of Singapore.

Remember at the end of July, I was led to write on a post called “A Word of Thanks” for my fellow grace-walkers to thank them for their support; and William has been a blessing to me by registering a Domain name “alanhiu.com”; and since then this blog has been transferred to this Domain.

I have said in that post that I was looking to the Lord for leading in the month of August and as I looked back, it must be for real… The issues I have touched on were of no ordinary issue in the body of Christ today e.g. issues like Holy Communion and Tithing. At times, I would still ask myself that who am I to write on these issues, especially on tithing…

I was attacked emotionally since the posting of Tithing. There was a struggle between my flesh and my spirit; on whether I have done the right thing, and condemning thoughts kept flashing over my mind. It was until “Cyberanger”, who has wrote a comment on this post that I began to realized that I have followed my flesh and embarked on the wrong tree again, i.e. the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. I should have let the Spirit leads me to the Tree of Life.

As for Cyberanger, I do not know how you find my blog, why you visit my blog at that particular time and why you chose to write your comment on that post. Is it a coincidence again? Yes, I would think so, divinely coincide, again!!! Cyberanger, You are truly a blessing everywhere you surf… Thank you for your recognition and most of all, Our Lord Jesus Himself affirms and recognizes the preaching of His grace. By His grace, I am honored to receive this award.

Hey folks, we have been placed in the heart of our Lord to receive the mystery of Christ which has not been make known to men in other generations. May your heart be encouraged and rejoice…!!!

All glory to our Lord Jesus.

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)

I first heard of this song in New Creation Church's Sunday Service on 13th July 2008. I was touched. William, a lovely brother of mine, he just came back from Hillsong Conference. He gave me a DVD entitled "How Great is Our God" by Louie Giglio, the Visionary Architect and Director Of Passion Conferences. This preacher just freeze me with his awesome insight of God. The "aftermath" of his preaching prompted me to search You Tube for Laminin, and this song by Chris Tomlin was on the same page of my search result. Coincidence...?

You may say that I am so slow to receive.... but my Lord is always faithful, He will never let any good thing pass me by. Good thing happen to those who know God loves them. This is grace and this is the aroma of my Lord.

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

Divine Practical Assignment

My family and I were in Singapore from 11th to 13th July 2008. Of course our main purposes for this visit were to attend New Creation Church's Sunday service, visit some of the Shopping Centers in Singapore, our friends and relatives.

There are not many changes in Singapore. Everywhere you can see people walking. Singaporeans are good in walking and they are fast too. The infrastructures too, are at their best condition. There are some good discounts at certain outlets and the children had reasonably good buy from these outlets. We have one and a half days to do our shipping, meet our friends and relatives.

Richard, I could not find Pho Bo "Vietnamese Beef Rice Noodle" in Ngee Ann City this time. This stall has been replaced by other type of Beef Noodle stall. What a waste....

There is one thing I realized in this trip is that, I found myself easily anger and frustrated in a few occasions as my legs grew tired while I was trying to catch up with my family. My wife reminded me a few times to mind myself so as not to ruin the fun of this holiday. I wanted to do good and wanted to avoid myself from being easily angry over certain thing but I grew weak when the strength of my legs grew weak.

Walking to NCC. These photos were taken by Norman. He is a Photographer not a Camera Man.

When Sunday came, we were well rested and refreshed. We were early to be on our way to New Creation Church in Suntec City Mall. We used the Citylink Mall to go to Suntec City Mall from our Hotel. It was Pastor Joshua’s turn to preach that Sunday and his sermon was “Anger Management”. My wife and I met at our eyes, gosh....what a divine inspired sermon! I presume this is another syllabus for me and this trip to Singapore is another practical assignment from the Kingdom Academy.

The queue up church

It is not to our intention that, we all want to do good and avoid doing evil. Touch your heart folk, how many of you can agree with me? Even though we are already a Christian; we would try to do good and try our best to avoid doing evil. It is good that we do good and it is real bad when we do evil. By doing all these, we are ignorant that we are actually eating from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil! Our evil doing is already bad while our good deed is also equally bad because there is no life in the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. It is bad because we are eating from the wrong tree!

As we all have been enlightened by grace, we are supposed to put our faith in eating from the Tree of Life instead of the knowledge of Good and Evil. In and out of ourselves, we have nothing good and how can we do good? Beside, our anger is just a sign that we are frustrated with our failure in our attempt to do good but we put this blame on others. The accuser of the brethren has been using our failures to condemn us. We feel condemned when we realize we have failed again. We got to wake up and know the truth that; this is just a sign to tell us that we have been eating from the wrong tree and do not receive it as a condemnation.

We are in Christ and there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set us free from the law of sin and death.

We do wrong because we are trying to eat from the tree of the knowledge of Good or Evil. If we eat from the Tree of Life, we can never be wrong because God can never makes mistake. While we are eating from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil, the accuser of the brethren is there to condemn us because he hangs around in that tree.

Once we have been established in grace, we all know that we are forgiven of all our sins, past, present and future, but do not just stop at the knowledge that we are forgiven. The Bible says in Hebrews 10:17~24, after we know that we are forgiven, we must have the confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus to obtain help from Him. The Bible also says that, those who wait on the Lord, his strength will be renewed like an eagle and the Lord also told Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

Folks, when we fail, do not let our failure condemns us but let our failure trigger us to admit that we are weak and let us enter and wait on Him and He, who is faithful, will give us strength to do the real good deed.

Again, this trip to New Creation Church has been a blessing to me and I have attended a divinely orchestrated three days two nights practical course from the Headmaster of my Bible Academy. I have been awakened by Pastor Joshua’s sermon and I want to eat from the tree of Life. I still do not know how but one thing I know for sure is that, I must repent (renew my mind). Once I renew my mind from the old way of my conducts, every responsible falls back to Him. He, who is faithful, will give me strength to do the real good deed. Once the good deed flows out from my life, I will know that this is from my Lord, not me.

Which tree are you eating from...?
