Doer Of Word

I beheld the Perfect Law of Liberty lately, He is the One who abide the 10 Commandments for me.
I beheld the Perfect Law of Liberty lately, I did not die but live, for He is the One who gave me His righteousness.

James 1:25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
James 1:24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
James 1:23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

I looked into the Mirror lately, I saw perfect beauty in the Mirror... that’s me.
I looked into the Mirror lately, I saw a righteous man in the Mirror... and that’s me!

I stood in front of the Mirror and observed myself lately, I realized I was fearfully made by the Creator of this universe.
I stood in front of the Mirror and observed myself lately, I realized I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

Oooh... I have been brought back to simplicity lately, where the Holy Spirit first convicted me of Jesus' righteousness when I first put my trust in Him.
Oooh... I have been brought back to the basic lately, where the Holy Spirit first gave me the gift of speaking in tongue and I spoke out in marvel...

I stand in front of the Mirror and observing myself today, I realize I have not been a doer of Word. My heart is breaking...
I stand in front of the Mirror and observing myself today, I realize I have been a doer of my own word. My tear is falling...

Selah

I am now looking into the Mirror, I see perfect beauty in the Mirror and that’s my natural face.
I am now looking into the Mirror, I see a righteous man like Abraham and that’s my natural man!

I am now beholding the Perfect Law of Liberty and He is the One who abide the 10 Commandments for me.
I am now beholding the Perfect Law of Liberty and I am living forevermore, for He is the One who gives me His righteousness.

Now, I am a hearer of Word and I am a doer of Word. Whenever I walk away from this Mirror, the one and only thing I have to do is to BELIEVE that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Ooooh... He brings me back to basic and He brings me back to my First Love... I am now like an eagle renewing its youth.

I never know that it is so easy to be a doer of Word. Oh it is so easy to be a doer of Word… but men complicated it. I asked the Lord why is it soooo easy? He simply answered, “Son, this is My grace…”

Faith Without The Truth Is Dead!

Have you believe the truth to have the right kind of faith for your right work? Those who like to resort themselves with the phrase “faith without work is dead” is indeed religious and legalistic. It is clear evidence that they still have the mixture of old and new covenant mentality… most of all, their attention is not on faith but on the work. Remember, religion dealt with the fruit while Jesus dealt with the root!

The implication of work in its context is our spontaneous action from the Gospel we have heard but it has been religiously implied as our work for church and our work for God. That is why this verse is best used in a work oriented church environment. Faith without work is dead… so by hook or by crook, WORK!!!!... to show others that you have FAITH!!!! The MORE you work, the BIGGER your faith is!!!

John 6:28-29 ~ Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent."

With reference to the phrase "faith without work is dead" and in respect of this life threatening verse (at least it was threatening to me for many years), what kind of fresh revelation do I have after I have established myself on His grace? Hmmm... at least I have a platform to establish myself on… and I choose to establish myself in His grace for the rest of my life, for grace and truth comes through Jesus… and I suppose it is good for my heart to be established in grace too.

James 1:22-25 ~ But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

James was actually talking about the spontaneous reaction of the hearer of the Gospel. The Gospel or the Resurrected Jesus Himself is our MIRROR. Every time we come to church, the preacher should take out this MIRROR and show Him to us. The MIRROR tells us that we are righteous, we are forgiven, we are blessed, we are prosperous, we are without sickness, we are free, we are precious in His eye… WE ARE IN CHRIST!

Before you question your own faith, ask yourself what kind of mirror have you been shown to when you come to church? Have you been shown with the mirror of Moses or the Mirror of Jesus? Have you been shown of your own sin, your shortcoming, your ugliness, or what you should do and what you shouldn’t do? WOW... That is not the right mirror! That is the mirror of Moses! If you have been shown to a wrong mirror, how are you going to have the right kind of faith? For faith comes by hearing, hearing by the words of CHRIST, not the words of Moses and also not the word of Elijah…

As I have said, it is not about faith that these legalistic people are concerned with. They are concerned with your work for their legalistic Kingdom. Our Lord Jesus is not concern with our work for His Kingdom for He said believe is the work for the work of God. He is more concerned with your WALK in His Kingdom!

Have you believe the right truth? (It is so sad that I have to add the word “right” in front of the word “truth”. Hey..., truth is truth, there is no right or wrong! But to certain people, we just have to add the word “right” there!) It is all about believing. When we believe right, our faith will be right and spontaneously, our work will be right. Please wake up from your sleep walking and come to your senses. Sleep walking cannot make you go far... you still have to go back to your bed and do your "waking up" there..., just like the Israelite in the wilderness!

Those who have ears, let them hear! This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent...

Faith Without Work Is Dead?

Because of these bible verses in the Epistle of James, the amount of laboring in the Lord from a believer has been used as a checklist to monitor the level of faith a believer has...

1. James 2:14 ~ What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?

2. James 2:20 ~ But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

3. James 2:26 ~ For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

This Epistle from James, the Elder of the early Churches in Jerusalem then, was written to the twelve tribes of his Jewish counterpart scattered among the nations. This Epistle was the first letter ever written in Bible time at around AD48 to AD62, about 15 years after our Lord was glorified and the birth of churches at that Feast of Pentecost.

The Jewish believers then were struggling between putting their faith in the Lord and obeying their Jewish tradition which derived from the Commandments. They were torn between two lovers (Law and Grace), feeling like a fool... It was their transitional period and time then was tough. Because of the fact that, all the Jewish people were equipped with the knowledge of the Mosaic Law from their young age, this Epistle from James was written to encourage them to live out their knowledge through faith by trusting their Messiah, as He had already accomplished the law at the cross. Nevertheless, due to their religious background and that transitional period, this Epistle was somehow, written with legalistic aspect because during that period of time, the message of grace was not yet given as Paul, the Apostle of Grace to the Gentiles was still in Arabia being ministered by the Lord.

I would conclude that James was ministering to his Jewish counterparts with “a bit” of legalism because in Galatians chapter 2, Peter was led to draw back from eating with the Gentiles and separated from them when he heard that certain men came from James were in Antioch. The most obvious evidence of James’ legalism is that, it was not even James himself but certain man from him coming to Antioch that caused Peter to withdrew from Gentiles… If James was not legalistic then, why should Peter, a well known Apostle in the New Testament who ever walked on the water, who ever preached a message that saved three thousands, was afraid of these certain men? I don’t think we need to be a rocket scientist to understand this contradictory situation and we see lots of this happening in a legalistic churches... :)

As Paul saw that many were led astray by Peter’s hypocrisy, the Apostle of Grace to the Gentile, rebuked Peter as he saw him (his act of hypocrisy) not acting in line with the gospel. If you have the revelation from these two examples, you will know that Peter’s testimony was actually the living testimony of what James was saying as faith without work is dead. Peter had witnessed and knew of the Gospel and yet he did not act in line with the gospel. A living example of faith without work is dead! If you don't believe the gospel, you will not have faith. Therefore, how can a dead faith produce good work? It is all hypocrisy!

The problem here is not work, the problem is not faith either. The problem is, Peter did not believed. Believe what...? Believe the gospel...! In John 6:28, people were asking Jesus, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" And Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." Oooh… faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Seeing is one thing, witnessing is another thing; if only Peter would have believed the word of Christ instead of depending on his religious knowledge, faith is just a branch of his right believe and the work, will subsequently be the fruit from that branch of faith!

Wow... there is hope for all of us because even Peter could fail to believe... and the Grace of our Lord is ever super abounding so that one day, yes one day, we all will believe!

Have you been hearing the right message? According to Paul, who wrote two third of the New Testament, our faith is dead if we do not act in line with the Gospel! Are you hearing the message of the Gospel or you have been thinking that the Gospel is only for the Gentiles? Paul was using the Gospel to measure Peter’s faith and Paul said there is no other Gospel but one - the Gospel of Grace!

So, faith without work is dead, but faith without believing the TRUTH is also dead. How can a dead faith produce any good work? It is not what we can work out, it is what we have believed. Please put the cart back before the horse, right believing produces right living. When we believe the right thing (the truth), our faith is right. When our faith is right, our work will be right. When our work is right, our faith is not dead!

So why worry so much about our faith? Do not fear, just believe.... the Gospel of Grace!

He Cares When I Don't Care...

Ever since I have been enlightened by the revelation of casting our cares away in last Thursday evening…, the devil would have thought that I have forgotten about this in a matter of four or five days. Well, before I could forget, I finally faced some little "cares" which raised from certain situation this morning.

The anointing in me is still teaching me the biblical way of casting our cares away... but I'm religiously slow to comprehend. So the best thing I could do is trying not to think about it… but I couldn’t. The next thing I tried to do is by occupying myself with other things hoping that I could forget about this little care… I couldn’t either. After these two attempts not knowing that these were my own self efforts, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart asking me to pray in the Spirit… i.e. speaking in tongue. In a matter of a few minutes, the burden was lightened and the care was gone…!

Indeed, Paul was right in his letter to Titus. For he had written…

Titus 2:11-12 ~ For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.

Grace teaches us...

When I went back for lunch, I saw Katherine Poon of Everything Grace followed up with a new post in her blog entitled: "When We Take Cares, God's Grace Cannot Flow"... and by the way, the Holy Spirit first used her to initial this wonderful revelation! So, not out of my religiosity, I felt honor to post my fresh encounter in her blog as comment. Hmmm... what a privileged!

We have chosen to humble before His grace and this is just part of the consequence... His grace teaches us or to be precised, He teaches us… Hey...! This is life; I'm growing in His grace...! Yahoo...! I'm so excited! This is what Paul meant by do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. I'm experiencing what Paul was preaching! Praying in tongue is giving thanks and Jesus, our faithful Master, is never too late to meet our needs that takes away our cares!!!!

In the midst of writing this post, a fresh revelation comes to me again in respect of the abundant of His grace and the gift of His righteousness.

Romans 5:17 ~ For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

Now, we all know that the word "care" in its original meaning is "worry" and worry is sin. The word sin in Greek is “missing the mark.”

Wow..., this is going to be powerful!

When we have cares and worries, we are missing the mark. I realized from this morning experience that we cannot do away with cares and worries by our own effort. So, the moment we pray in tongue, we are resting in Him and making full use of His abundant provision of grace, for when sin (missing the mark) abound, grace super abound. Instead of letting our consciousness being condemned intentionally or unintentionally, the Spirit gives us life and set us free from any condemnation. Praying in tongue engages the Holy Spirit to bear witness with our spirit man that we are still the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Pointing us to Jesus' righteousness is the duty of the Holy Spirit. This is the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit in our life to cast out the spiritual force of cases and worries. That is why we are freed from our cares and worries when we engaged with praying in tongue...

If you still think that grace and righteousness is a doctrine or teaching, you have missed the mark! Grace and Righteousness is not a doctrine or a teaching at all! Grace and Righteousness is not for us to teach but when we unveil Jesus in His glorious form, we see His Grace and Righteousness as Grace and Righteousness are Jesus personified. We are encouraged to receive these abundant gifts continuously through unveiling of Jesus Christ, our Magnificent Savor.

How can we not reigning in life when we keep on receiving God's abundant provision of grace and the gift of righteousness?

You might think that I have gone crazy… but who cares???? I am sicked and tired of entertaining and pleasing my own logical mind and people's logical talk... and human logic always ends up in religiosity and bondage. I just want His truth, and only His truth can set me free... After all, He is the One who had shed His Blood for me!

Oh… I'm so bless and you can be bless too... if you choose not to please your logical mind. It is all about Jesus and God's abundant provision of grace and the gift of righteousness because He cares even before the foundation of the world...

Let's Gospelize The Christianized!

Major parts of the world have been “Christianized”… now let the whole world be “Gospelized.” The Gospel Revolution is Here...!

"Revolution" is a strong word that means “to turn upside down.” Why a “Gospel Revolution?” Why not words like “renewal” or “revival?” Simply put, the problem is so deep that nothing less than a revolution will do – a paradigm shift in our understanding of the Gospel is needed...

I Don't Care Anymore!

The other day I was chatting with Katherine Poon in Facebook and out of my good humanly intention, I ended the chatting with “Take care!”. By the way, good humanly intention is religious and is not Godly intention… so Kat replied: “I don’t take care, I cast out care!” Wow...! What a revelation! It was a zap from heaven and I was totally revived by her reply!

1 Peter 5:7 ~ casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

The word “Care” means Merimna in Greek. From the word meiro, “to divide” and noos, “the mind.” The word denotes distractions, anxieties, burdens, and worries. Merimma means to be anxious beforehand about daily life. Such worry is unnecessary, because the Father’s love provides for both our daily needs and our special needs.

My spirit was quickened by this revelation to break forth the religious stronghold that was still in me. My religious mind (flesh) can never realize that even by taking care of myself is a self effort. Come to think of it, I realized that in the areas of my life where I don’t care much about, do not need much of my caring at all. But those areas where I care most need most of my caring! Dah... ! :) Hey, how come…? So, the revelation is... when I take care of myself, God’s hand is off me because grace cannot flow through my effort. Grace does not flow through my flesh but my spirit. Grace does not flow through my struggles but my rest in Him. Grace does not prompt me to perform but to rest in Jesus. Grace comes to my rescue and super abounding when my spirit rests in Him…

Religion is about a man with nothing trying to care for His everything in life! Life in Jesus is a man with nothing resting in the One who has everything! My flesh can never understand what Jesus had already done or even His cares for me since the foundation of the world!!!!

“Take care” is for those who do not have Jesus in their life because no one really cares for them! I boldly use the word “Jesus” because only Jesus cares and only Jesus ministers with grace, the unearned and unmerited favor of God. None of the religions care for us even in Christianity, if we choose to take good care of ourselves.

Maurice join in with his comment saying: “You still have cares mei…!” Yes Maurice, I still have because I'm not humble… not because of my action in front of people but simply because I still take good care of my situation and I did not cast my cares upon Him! For the verse before 1 Peter 5: 7 says: Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

So from now on, I am going to cast my cares upon Him one day at a time and will not labor to take care of myself but labor to enter His rest…

Do you “care” to join me…?

Transformer… (from glory to glory)

What happened historically and spiritually when Jesus suffered, died and raised from the dead represented the whole of mankind, whether we believe it or not. Father God was in Christ reconciling the whole world to Himself. God did not gamble with the life of His Begotten Son. God’s righteousness is not at risk. His love is based on value, not pity. He saw equal value in us. He redeemed His image and likeness in human form. He saw the fruit of the travail of His soul, and it satisfied Him. God’s faith sees us free! Our new birth is not the result of a sincere decision we make to follow Jesus, but an awakening of our spirit to the truth of what already took place two thousand years ago when God raised Jesus from the dead.

1 Peter 1:3-4 ~ Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade – kept in heaven for you.

To merely see Jesus die historically as an individual carries no further significance beyond religious sentiment. Jesus is not an example for man; He is the example of man! Have a good opinion of God. Beholding Him as what we see in a mirror, transform us into His likeness, from glory (opinion) to glory (opinion).

2 Corinthians 3:18 ~ And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

His glory (opinion) sets the pace and the mirror reflects the death and resurrection of us beholding. This mirror reflects mankind in Christ. This is the key to understanding the Gospel, the greatest story ever told in history. Therefore, see ourselves being mirrored in His death and in His resurrection. If Jesus had paid our debts simply because that He saw enough value in us to feel justified in doing that, then for us not to gratefully accept the Gift would be an insult.

Believe that God is right about you, He loves you and He believes in you.

Is this not grace?

What A Quiz...

It was all started with a few of us taking up the quiz in Facebook on "Which Singapore church are you best suited in?" and the result are New Creation Church. All of us were having the same result and I found out that the trick of this quiz is on question # 3: i.e. What else do you do besides attending services? If you don't choose the given answer "I like to listen to Hillsong and DVD sermons", for sure you go other church, like... mmm???

At first it was a happy exchanging of words among close friends then came a friend of Samuel and Jennifer, contributing his comment… Wow… Religious people as what I’ve learn from Pastor Prince's sharing do exist… From his comment, I find it interesting to steer up the religious wave (I usually don’t do this sort of thing) to see how big the wave can go…

Here it goes…

Jennifer: we go 2gether-gether ok?? ;)

Penny: yeah..........

Jennifer: felicia & calvin took the quiz too..hehe! same result.

Felicia: Yoohoo!!!

Xxxx Xxx: hmm... some people say that new creation church preaches health and wealth gospel, a feel-good version of the Truth...

i'm not saying they are wrong or anything, just saying be careful and always exercise discernment, ok. =)

Alan: Jesus heals the sick... that is health. Jesus multiplies 2 fishes and 5 loaves... that is wealth! He is the same yesterday, today and forever... hmm good discernment!!!! Amen!

Felicia: AMEN PASTOR! :D

Xxxx Xxx: Yes, Jesus heals the sick. when He was on earth, He healed every sick person who came to Him - there is no record of Him ever refusing to heal someone.

yet, after He ascended to Heaven, although His disciples continued to heal (and yes, i do believe that the gift of healing is still active in the church today), the incidence of healing was no longer 100%. see how Paul told timothy to take a little wine for his stomach and his frequent illnesses in Timothy 5:23. or see how Epaphroditus was sick and almost died, in Philippians 2:25. why not just heal them, if we were able to heal at all times and in all cases?

so the fact is that, in spite of the purest faith and the most fervent prayers, God does not always heal. we may not understand why one is healed and another is not, but it is something we have to deal with. yet this is a fact that one almost never hears from the lips of those who preach the health and wealth gospel. and yes, God can prosper us if He chooses. Promotion comes from the Lord (Psalm 75:6-7). yet reading Jesus' words, "you cannot serve both God and money" (Matthew 6:24), and His reply to the rich young ruler, "go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven" (Matthew 19:21) and paul's words in 1 Timothy 6:10, "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil"... all these verses show us that there is something wrong with the kind of gospel that can blithely proclaim that all God wants to do is to bless and prosper you.

God does not want to make us happy - He wants to make us holy. and that means struggle, sacrifice, disappointments, dying to self, and etc. not the hollow promises of health and wealth that some churches peddle.... once again, a disclaimer - i do not say that New Creation Church is one of these. just that this kind of teaching is becoming prevalent among some churches, and we would do well to be careful and practice discernment. =)

Alan: 2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Father, whatever promises that he doesn't want, please give to me and I say, " Amen!" to Your glory...

Felicia: I want also.. Amen!

Xxxx Xxx: lol... i do not deny, and neither do i reject, the promises of God. so, alan and felicia, if you're hoping God will give you my "rejected blessings", too bad, they're all mine! =D

but... here's a promise (or is it a warning?) that ties in with what i was trying to say earlier... "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine... Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths." - 2 Timothy 4:3-4

one thing that makes the health and wealth gospel so dangerous, is that it's exactly what we want to hear. we must not 'censor out' the difficult, hard, challenging parts of the gospel. ok? =)

Felicia: aww.. shucks.. hehe.. but God's promises for me are sufficient for me and much more. wouldn't mind rejected blessings to come my way.. hehe

Samuel: Xxxx Xxx.... some people say is not good enough...what do you say? What's important is whether you know or not? Why listen to what other people say?

Matthew 16:13-20. Jesus asked his disciples who he is? They replied, 'some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets. But Simon Peter answered 'You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God'.

Let's not argue on what others say... find out for yourself... the bible is simple to understand but really a mystery for some... as the truth is kept a mystery to those that do not appreciate the generosity and abundant grace that comes from the father of lights. Why cast pearls before swines?

Alan: You are reasoning with your mind... discernment is from our heart... Many people tell you here you don't want to listen... It is not what people say, it is what you think... Repent (renewal of our mind) from reasoning than you can discern. What we are doing here is discerning the truth not reasoning the truth. It is not about NCC but it is about Jesus... Grace and peace be multiplied to you.

Samuel: Yup...let's not rob fellow believers of what Christ has so graciously and freely given...it has never been cheap grace but it was the most 'costly' sacrifice- if you can put a value to it, that God has given. It cost Him His Beloved Son. If the greatest miracle (which is salvation) came by us believing in the finish work on the cross, tell me why is it that you need to work out your salvation. It has never been about 'you + Christ=salvation'. The equation in the bible has always been 'Christ+0=salvation'. If you can work out your salvation then there is no need for Christ in the first place. Let's not 'Pharisize' our faith in Christ by complicating it with our self effort. It all begins with pride and not humility to say that you can live a perfect life without sin. No one can but Christ. That's why you need to fully depend on Him and His willingness to bless you out of your socks. There's so much to share but I doubt you will discern what we wish to share with you…Xxxx Xxx.

At least the rich young ruler know that he can never meet God's standard of a perfect life. Jesus wanted him to realize that he can never reach God's standard. Neither can anyone say that he or she can fulfill the 10 commandments fully. You fail in one you fail all ten. And it's your thoughts that count. The Christian way of life, if there is any is an impossible one, that's why you need Christ in us to live His life through you. Let's not get carried away with our self righteousness. It's pride bro... pure pride... Are we now trying like the Galatians who were initially saved by grace trying to fall back on our self efforts to reach God's standards? Rightly discern the old and new covenant bro... and you will not be confused. Do not pour new wine into old wine skins. The root of evil has never been money bro....it's the love of money...How are you gonna bless your neighbor if you yourself cannot even support your own family?

How is it possible for a believer that believes that God will not prosper him to sell all that he possess.

If you believe that God can put sickness on you and make you suffer to teach you a lesson so that you can be tough then you might as well think of your earthly father to be the same. Does it make sense for your dad to decide one fine day to take all your privileges away, send someone to mow you down with a truck, or send someone to rob you and beat you up so that you can learn self discipline and become tougher? Of course not. If your earthly father loves you very much, how much more do you think your Heavenly Father? He did not spare His Son, don't you think He'll will give you much more... and much more...and prosper you and give you health?

Samuel: That's why Paul in Romans wrote this...'And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Death can't, and life can't (even life). The angels (even angels) can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the... Read More deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord'. Jesus is really, really good. Let's not take away what he has suffered and paid dearly for on the cross.

Well, what do you say? As for me, I’ll say, ”Preach it Bro… there are still a lot of "unbelieving believers" out there...!"

Put The Horse Back Before The Cart

In the new Covenant, God can put His laws in our hearts because the blood of Jesus had cleansed us so clean that the Holy Spirit can dwell in us.

Hebrews 10:16-18 ~ "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds." Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.

When we are born again, God put His laws in our heart through the Holy Spirit, so that born again believers can have a Spirit led life. The problem with us for not responding to this truth is that, we are not established in the New Covenant truth. Our righteousness is a gift from God not our performance... When we think that we still have our sinful nature after we are born again, we are on the wrong platform and frequency to respond to His prompting. When we are sin conscious, our sin consciousness leads us back to the two tablets of stones for the knowledge of good and evil. The knowledge of good and evil in turn, prompts us to perform in order to achieve the righteousness that God required.

Everyone of us knows what is good and what is bad. It is our sinful nature that bound us from doing the good; for the good we want to do we cannot and the bad we do not want to do we do.

Romans 7:15 -19 ~ I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.

The truth is, although we are a new creation, our establishment on the wrong platform robs us from the resurrection life that God has given us to live in. That is why before God can put His laws in our hearts; He has to make sure that He remembers our sins and lawless acts no more. It is Jesus’ blood that washes us so clean that God can says "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." Forgiveness of sins and righteousness are one. When we are forgiven, we are righteous!

If we cannot established that our righteousness is a gift from God, and our nature is righteous, whatever God has written in our hearts are of no used because our evil conscious will still prompt us to go back to refer to the stones, trying to do the good and avoid the bad.

Repent my friends, renew your mind... new covenant believers are righteous in nature not action and our righteousness is a gift from God. Some of us may still think that even now, we still have sinful action. Be at rest friends, establish first in His righteousness so that whatever God has written in our hearts can work out in our hearts and become a spontaneous flow in the Spirit. By then, doing the good and avoid doing the bad is a lifestyle and no more a religion…

But first, let's put the horse back before the cart!

Blog In Mandarin

I have set up a Blog in Mandarin entitled "成了!" which means "It's Finished!" The setting up of this Blog is to bless the Mandarin speaking people. Ever since I was enlightened by the grace of God, my heart is always with the Mandarin speaking people for their church environments have been isolated from this ever impacting grace revolution. My heart is to share this precious grace (Good News) to them for they are very much bounded by their congregational rules and regulations or they are confused by the preaching from the mixture of law and grace.

I will translate the materials from this Blog for the initial postings in that Blog. Though the standard of my Mandarin is not very good but I know that if I am faithful with a little I have, my Lord will surely bless and multiply it... Amen.

1 Corinthians 1:27-31 ~ But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."

The Lord said, "It's Finished!" and it took me years to understand what is "It's Finished!". This short little words has bless me tremendously. I hope the Blog in Mandarin will be a blessing to many as well...

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!"

Please keep me in your prayer....

In The House

While I was sharing in the last Chinese Service, I was miraculously led by the Spirit to give a few simple and yet powerful illustrations and one of the illustrations was on how to look at the Law from God’s point of view. It was so good that I wanted to sit down and take my own note…!

In my Christian life, I have been looking at the Commandments the way the Jewish people looked at them. I too, felt that there are a lot of things I have to do. The concept of Law never changes even though I have been enlightened by grace, but not until last Sunday…

The Lord asked why is that I don’t try to look at the Commandments from His point of view? Why don’t I stand together with Him and look at the Commandments from His direction?

Here goes the illustration that woke me up from my spiritual sleep while I was sharing…

For example, when you come to my house, before you come in, you will ask me what you have to do before you enter my house. So I answer you, “Thou shall not wear your shoe in!” That is a demand and is a commandment. Thou shall not… You then thinking to yourself, “I shall not wear my shoe in” and you abide to this commandment and you take off your shoe. This is from your point of view and you are at the same position and direction when the Jewish people received the Ten Commandments.

After you have entered my house, you notice that my floor is sparkling clean and if you are to wear your shoe in, you would have dirty the floor. So, when I gave that commandment, I knew that my floor is clean so was God, when He gave the Ten Commandments, He knew His own Holy Nature.

Now, when the next person come, you are with me at the door step and that person asks the same question and I give the same commandment. For you, you already know why shoe is not allow to be worn inside the house, and naturally, that commandment is no more a commandment to you because you know how clean is the floor already.

The law is a shadow of good thing to come and is the shadow of the holiness of Christ. Law is the shadow of grace. Shadow cannot help us but the Substance can. When we are confronted by law, the law just cannot help us but points us to our sins because of God’s standard of holiness. Jesus, the Substance is grace personified. He came as Man and fulfilled all the requirements of the law and nailed them on the cross. Now, after the cross, when we are confronted by grace, grace helps us for when sin (falling short of the glory of God) abound, grace super abound because grace is the unmerited and undeserved Favor of God!

We are already in Christ and we don't have to seek His Kingdom and righteousness anymore. In Christ, we RECEIVE the abundant of His grace and the gift of His righteousness and REIGN in life. We are already in the House looking out, knowing that all these blessings are gifts of God not our achievement's through self effort. As we are already in the House, we already understand why God gave the Commandments because we know His Nature and His Holiness. When we look at the Commandments from the House, the Commandments are no more commandment but part of our righteous life lives through by Christ Himself through us, which is a resurrection life destined to reign...

Our Lord Jesus had fulfilled the law and nailed the demand of the law at the cross. We are now righteous in Christ and we are as holy as Christ. This explains why we are dead to law and married to Christ. We are in the House not outside the House! We are in the Substance not under the shadow. We are in Grace not under Law...
