From The Least To The Greatest

A gospel is about the Story of an unlimited God, who came down to this earth to be a limited Man and died a cruel death and paid a full debt of sin for all mankind on the cross. He was resurrected from His death on the third day and went back to heaven and seated at the right hand side of His Father. Every one who has come to the Lord knows Him because of this awesome gospel.

Young converts are full of joy, their life are transformed, their prayers answered by God (even though they do not know the “right way” to pray, so to speak…) and their life are overwhelmed with Christ. They know the Lord is awesome, gracious, merciful, gentle, and loving and powerful.

To the leadership, these new converts are the center attraction for potential work force in the Kingdom. A set of rules and regulations and discipleship teaching are introduced for the purposes of training them to be a vessel fit for the Master's use.

These “Teachers” are sincere people and of good intention. They are committed to strengthen and expand the Kingdom of God. The problem is they do not have the access to the Manna from Heaven. Instead of feeding them with the Bread of Life, the two tablets of stone are turn into bread for feeding. Under this circumstance of man trying to teach man based on human understanding, legalism slips in and subsequently gives birth to another form of religion.

We all know the Holy Spirit is our divine Teacher and our Comforter; He is the Spirit of Truth and he will teach us all things; but unless we preach the grace and truth that come through Jesus Christ, unless we preach Christ crucified, and unless we magnify His Finished Work on the Cross, the Holy Spirit is made void in our midst.

Our function is not to teach people to know the Lord, but to point them to Christ and the anointing in them can teach them all thing. It is sad to see that under a legalistic environment, the leaders feel more secured in what they can do and what they can control through laws and ordinances and have no security in what the Bible says and thus, embark themselves on the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. To embark on the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, we can kick aside the Holy Spirit and still do fine with our own effort.

It is only through the preaching that expound the mystery of Christ that, we are able to access the Heavenly Manna which is from the Tree of Life. Grace is the Person of Jesus, and Grace is not a doctrine and not another subject in the Bible. To know grace and truth, we need the revelation from the Holy Spirit and if we claim that we know Jesus, we will spontaneously know His grace and the truth because grace and truth come through Jesus Christ.

If anyone thinks that he is the greatest, he will be the last one to know His grace because the Bible in the Book of Hebrews says, “They will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest…”
