Medan 2012 - Good Idea

We are now back from our Medan trip and we unanimously concluded that it will be a "GOOD IDEA" to travel via Changi Airport if we have any connection flight to be made in future.

When we were on our way back to Kuching, we were using AirAsia via LCCT Kuala Lumpur. When we landed in LCCT, our plane was parked about 2 Km away from the Arrival Hall. It was a pity to see the elderly folks struggling to walk this distance with their luggage.

As we were waiting for our flight to Kuching, the ground crew announced that AK5214 would be delayed for 45 minutes due to the late arrival of the connecting flight from Singapore. As we were waiting in the congested Departure Hall for our flight, we started to compare the environment and the infrastructure that Changi Airport and LCCT had offered. We unanimously concluded that it will be a "GOOD IDEA" and is wise to choose Changi Airport if our travel needs any connecting flight out of country to our destination. After all, by choosing Changi Airport as our transit point, we are still enjoying the competative budget fare offered by the same budget Airliners.

Goodbye Medan...

Medan, On Arrival...

We arrived at Medan Polonia International Airport from LCCT KL at 7.45 pm. We are here to teach or to impart "GRACE" in Sekolah Alkitab Celebration (Celebration Bible School). A branch in Indonesia from Pastor Peter Youngren's Celebration Bible School in Canada.

Since we are unable to see much of Medan tonight, we can only give you a brief account on Medan City... The Polonia International Airport is like our old Airport; very much the colonial style. It is a big city but not very modern. It is more or less like Sibu or Miri but 50 times bigger!!!

We are staying at Hotel Antares Indonesia, which is about 15 minutes drive from the Airport and to minutes drive to the Bible School.

Dinner at Simpang Tiga Restaurant
Elder Alex was prophesying at LCCT that we would be having a banquet in Medan. The word of the righteous is indeed powerful! We had our dinner at Simpang Tiga Restaurant, and look at our table, it was overflowing with good Indonesian food...

Standard Deluxe Room
The room rate at the price of less than RM90.00 per night is considered very cheap... The room is bigger and much much better than CityTel in Mid Valley. The rate is inclusive of breakfast...

The problem is, their power plug is of two pin type...
