Jailbreak

Jailbreaking is a process that allows iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch users to run any code on their devices, as opposed to only that code authorized by Apple. Once jailbroken, iPhone users are able to download many applications previously unavailable through the App Store via unofficial installers such as Cydia, as well as illegally pirated apps. A jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch is still able to use and update apps downloaded and purchased from Apple's official App Store. So ever since I own an Iphone three months ago, this "term" keeps knocking at my mind…

So let look at the real jailbreak….

For without the righteousness of God, nobody can live right, not even one, nobody who knows the score, nobody alert for God. We all taken the wrong turn and wandered down blind alleys. No one is living right; you can't find a single one. Our throats are gaping graves, our tongues slick as mudslides. Every word we speak is tinged with poison. We open our mouths and pollute the air. We race for the honour of “sinner-of-the-year”, litter the land with heartbreak and ruin. We don't know the first thing about living with others. We never give God the time of day. This makes it clear, doesn't it, that whatever is written in these Scriptures is not what God says about others but to us to whom these Scriptures were addressed in the first place! And it's clear enough, isn't it, that we're sinners, every one of us, in the same sinking boat with everybody else? Our involvement with God's revelation doesn't put us right with God. What it does is force us to face our complicity in everyone else's sin.

Here it is in a nutshell: Just as one person did it wrong and got us in all this trouble with sin and death, another Person did it right and got us out of it. But more than just getting us out of trouble, He got us into life! One man said no to God and put many people in the wrong; one Man said yes to God and put many in the right.

Yet the rescuing gift is not exactly parallel to the death-dealing sin. If one man's sin put crowds of people at the dead-end abyss of separation from God, just think what God's gift poured through one Man, Jesus Christ, will do! There's no comparison between that death-dealing sin and this generous, life-giving gift. The verdict on that one sin was the death sentence; the verdict on the many sins that followed was this wonderful life sentence. If death got the upper hand through one man's wrongdoing, can you imagine the breathtaking recovery life makes, sovereign life, in those who grasp with both hands this abundant provision of grace and the gift of righteousness, that the one Man Jesus Christ provides?

Our firm decision is to work from this focused centre: One man died for everyone. That puts everyone in the same boat. He included everyone in his death so that everyone could also be included in His life, a resurrection life, a far better life than people ever lived on their own.

Because of this decision we do not evaluate people by what they have or how they look. The Jewish people looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong. We certainly don't look at Him that way anymore. Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, a new creation. The old life is gone; a new life began! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and Him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with Himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what He is doing. We are Christ's representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God's work of making things right between them. We're speaking for Christ Himself now: Become friends with God; He's already a friend with you.

So go and tell people about this jailbreak instead…

His Thoughts Towards Us

By Dawie Blake in  Hear Him

God is light and God is love. In Him is no darkness at all.

This post is about the content of God’s thoughts… those millions of thoughts like the sands of the sea referred to in Psalm 139.  These perfect thoughts are what we believe and which becomes our thoughts.

That we may know the full content of His thoughts, He sent Christ. What God thinks of you is Christ, for in God’s thoughts there is no darkness at all… In the Father’s eyes Christ is His daily delight and desire. He is perfect and like His Father in every way. He is honoured, the apple of His eye…. AND we are in union with Him, His Beloved Son. A union and association deliberately chosen before time began…

Now imagine before time began, before anything else existed or happened that involves us… when He was there with the Father. Imagine the absolute beauty of the fellowship between Father and Son. The perfection, the transparency, the depth, the love, the delight – no hidden agendas, no pride, no jealousy – just spontaneous joy. Now imagine when they looked at this perfect beautiful fellowship and said: “We want more of this…” We find the definition of our being and purpose there...

Colossians 1 and John 1 states that everything was made by the Logos and He is the pattern/logic of all else, that in Him all things consist, and that He is all and in all. We can say that everything that is something comes from Him and contains of His substance. No substance or any part of any substance comes from a different Source. Everything carries His fingerprint.

Why? Because He is perfect – the definition of the Father’s full delight. All things are guaranteed to “work” and God rejoices in all things… BUT nothing is more accurately made according to the Logos (the Logic of God) than us. God is about relationship and relationship is based in likeness. The most intimate relationship is shared between two beings who find their exact likeness in one another… We were made in His exact image and likeness… as He is, so are we. We find in Him a place where we can share and explore our whole heart! God’s delight in Christ is multiplied in us.

We made like Him and Ephesians 1 says we were associated with Him from the foundation of the world. In the Father’s heart we have always shared the same place as His Beloved Son.

Life is a celebration of God’s perfect love dream fulfilled – you are His love dream, and He is yours!

Our faith is sponsored by the knowledge God has of us. The whole of the gospel seeks to communicate this simple Logic to mankind.

Hebrews 1 says something beautiful. In various ways God spoke in times past to us, but in the last days God spoke to us in His Son. What he had to say to us was simply perfectly expressed in His Son. God’s message was: if you see Him you see yourself – accurately. In Him is life and this life is the light of man.

All God’s thoughts entertain only Christ. When He thinks of us, or in fact anything, He is conscious of the substance that we bear – namely Christ, for He is all and in all – everything that is something contains of Him. In Christ there is no emptiness/darkness – we are complete in Him. Sure, He sees the holes in our expression that doesn’t reflect the reality, but He knows those holes exist in our understanding only. He knows those “holes” in our expression don’t define us or change the substance in us…

Our expression comes from what we believe about us for “as a man thinks in his heart, so is he”. What man thinks can change, but the image and likeness we were made in cannot change. What we think, believe or do is not us, and God knows the difference. He longs to fill us with His understanding. When we walk in the light, the knowledge of the truth, as He is in the light we have/experience the intended fellowship with one another.

When Jesus referred to satan he said, he has nothing of Me… i.e. I am all substance and in Me all things consist, but as for satan, he is like a big black hole – a big nothing. Everything that destructs, subtracts, steals, breaks down does so because it’s an expression lacking substance which is Christ. Man is surrounded by such expressions. When we believe and utter these expressions we take on their identity of emptiness and destruction. This is what Paul defined as the “old man”. But now we put off the old man and put on Christ – the light of our life. If we can lift our eyes and look at the expression that came from above, we will know the truth and the truth will set us free.

Since the moment man believed the lie that through knowledge of good and evil he would become like God, there were serious holes made in his understanding – a big darkness was left in his consciousness. When the source of our lives exists in knowing what is good and therefore doing it, and knowing what is evil and therefore avoiding it, our deeds define us (becomes the source of our identity) and we die. But when the source of our lives is knowing who we are in Him, we do good and avoid evil spontaneously and have life.

Christ, the Truth about us, was manifested to fill the darkness in our consciousness – that we may know who we are, that we may have the light of our life and live. And to live, is to know (have communion with, enter the rich fellowship of love with) the Father.

The Success Of The Cross

I was sitting in a church the other day listening to the reciting of the Christian Creed, and realised that even the devil believes the same.

He has no problem with people believing that Jesus lived, died for man’s sins and was raised on the 3rd day and is now seated at the right hand of God.

He doesn’t even have a big problem with people avoiding hell and going to heaven. He would desperately seek to keep people neutralised on planet earth though! His deception only has one agenda, to keep people ignorant of the success of the cross.

This is the one thing he desperately wants to hide from man, the mystery that he himself failed to understand; had he understood the wisdom of God he would never have crucified the Lord of glory.

There is no life changing power in believing in a historic or even futuristic Christ!

The mystery that was hidden for ages is the revelation that in God’s economy, Jesus the Messiah represents the human race! He didn’t die as an individual! All of mankind died in his death!

He was not made alive as an individual! Mankind was fully represented in Him, made alive together with Him and raised together with him on the 3rd day!

Hosea 6:2 ~ After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight.

The point of departure in the gospel message is now the fact that as humans we are fully represented in the highest seat of authority in the universe; we are seated there together with him in heavenly places! This is true before anyone but God believed it!

While we were still dead in our trespasses and sins, He made us alive together with him and raised us up together with him!

Knowing the truth about our value and innocence as it is unveiled in Christ liberates us into the most attractive life imaginable, the life of our original design as image bearers of God!

Life Group Meeting ~ My Hipstamatic Prints

These are the dishes (local delicacies to go with porridge) for to-night's Life Group meeting...

Pickled Lettuce is somehow looks ordinary and also gives an impression of an under favor choice to go with porridge. But this skillful recipe has changed the opinion of many who have tasted it… It is cheap and appetizing and is set to prompt you for another bowl of porridge…

Imported Seasoned VegetablefFried with Minced Pork

Local Seasoned Vegetable fried with Pork Belly, topped with Peanuts

Traditional Egg Pan Cake With Dried Vegetable

Evolvement

By Ole Henrik Skjelstad

In his first epistle John introduces something not found elsewhere in the Bible. He suggests that the Christian walk can be divided into three separate periods, where each period has some common characteristics. I have been pondering this lately and what I am now to pen down is not an exhaustive exposition on the subject, merely some initial thoughts.

The little child knows his sins are forgiven. He is not yet, however, secured in God’s grace and has a limited understanding of the mystery of the gospel, that is, Christ’s abiding presence in him. The child is an easy prey for condemnation, and is apt to judge himself and others based on behavior. He prefers fixed boundaries and finds security in a predictable religion.

The child usually wants to have its will and God have mercy on those who is so audacious that they shake their outlook and their predictable world. Children prefer predictability and strict boundaries. They prefer to divide things in good and evil.

The young man has overcome the evil one. He has disclosed the devil’s devices and is secure in his identity. He is strong because he has discovered the surpassing power of the One who abides in him. The adolescent is well settled in God’s grace and he is beginning to make righteous judgments in accordance with the light he has been given.

Otherwise the young men are like most other adolescents. They almost invariably know better than those who are older and more mature than them. Full of plans and energy they embark on any project they think will glorify God.

The father, who knows Him who has been from the beginning, has delved into this mystery we call love. He knows God is limitless and unsearchable. He has found that God operates outside any preconceived boxes. Daily his mind is stretched, because the Spirit is leading him further and further from the trodden paths. The father is completely secure in God’s love. The fact that he is loved is a fixed inner knowledge. He is not dependent on feelings, sensations or experiences to feel loved even though he appreciates those moments of intimacy.

What does it mean that the father knows Him who has been from the beginning? God is love and thus love is the origin of everything. It is a love that far surpasses any human understanding, so the father has undressed himself of those inhibiting thought patterns which attempt to understand God intellectually. God is Spirit and can hence only be recognized in a realm where words cannot by any means make justice to God’s person or ways. The father has abandoned any earthly ways, and his soul is utterly captivated by the beauty of the Eternal one.

For the father any illusion about separation has been dissolved and he is well established in his union with God. His will is fused with God’s will and he confidently obeys his heart knowing he can do nothing of himself and is thus secure in his own I. Paradoxes do not scare him. On the contrary he is intrigued by the freedom those almost preposterous inconsistent ideas offer.

Others envy him his freedom to express himself without any inhibitions. In the same manner as God the father is preoccupied with one thing only and that is life and life in abundance.

Which Table Are You Partaking From?

In my previous post entitled "Confusion", King Nebuchadnezzar has been exposed of his conspiracy to confuse the redeemed. From his table, he lavishes his royal food and wine! Be discerning enough not to feast from his table. His table is called the table of confusion. The royal foods and wine is the teaching with the  mixture of law and grace which in one hand disarms the purposes of the law was given for and on the other hand neutralized the resurrection power of God’s grace.

Before us in the presence of our enemies, our Redeemer prepared the Table before our enemies.  We are partaking His Body and His Blood from His Table. This table is victorious, full of undeserved, unearned and unmerited favor of God. We come to our Lord's Table to enjoy and celebrate His victory and all that He had done for us!

Before we continue, may I ask whether which table is your "Jerusalem" partaking from?  What is the difference between these two tables? Well, This king Nebu prepares his table before of our own weakness. When we come to king Nebu’s table, we need to legalistically confess all our sins and this is an insult to our Redeemer's finished work! This king Nebu is trying to copy the way our Redeemer prepared the Table but he leads us to eat and drink in an unworthy manner and as a result, many are weak and sick, and many sleep.   But when we come to our Lord’s Table, we partake with thanksgiving and acknowledgement of our Lord’s finished work in remembrance of Him. Because of  His grace, His body had open up a new and living way. The more we come, the more we live! Our Lord’s Table is full of solid truth which is His broken Body and His Blood!

Daniel the Prophet is the picture of the redeemed. He had the wisdom to resolve not to defile himself with the royal food and wine and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way. He asked the official to give them vegetable and water instead and test them for 10 days.

Have you resolve not to eat from king Nebu’s table?

The root word for vegetable here is seed. Jesus mentioned about the Word of God as seed in Matthew 13. He also said in one of the parables that He is seed and unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Now with this compilation of the New Covenant truth on seed, we can see that Daniel by then had already been feeding himself with the New Covenant truth, for the Word was with God and the Word was God. This is not ordinary Word but the resurrected Jesus Himself. As for water, we can easily connect water with the Holy Spirit. As the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, He only comes to glorify Jesus, the resurrected Jesus, Who is the Only Truth. That is why Apostle Paul preached in the Book of Romans that faith comes by hearing, hearing by the Word of Christ. The Christ here is the resurrected Jesus. Apostle Paul himself received revelation from the resurrected Christ and  with his revelation, he was able to write two third of the New Covenant.

By the way, as I was writing this post, I was fascinated by the statement that my wife wrote on her Facebook wall. She wrote: No man understands the Scriptures, unless he is acquainted with the cross! What about that?

Well, after ten days of testing, Daniel and his gang looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food. This is the consequence of the right nutrition for the spirit man… After sitting under a ministry that preaches only the grace of God for eight years, I noticed that those who are in the Grace ministry are healthier in their physical and spiritual life. They are better nourished as the Bible says they are eating meat, not drinking milk because they understand the teaching on righteousness. The newly converted in our midst know more fundamental truth than those “old” Christians who sit under a ministry that preach the mixture of law and grace.

I am now convinced that Daniel who was in his dispensation already had the wisdom to prophesize on the coming of the Messiah and the end time events because of his  resolution to partake only vegetable and water. What about us, the redeemed who had resolved not to defile ourselves with the royal food and wine from the table of king Nebu, the king of confusion?  We have the vegetable (seed, the Word of Christ) and the water is in us (the Holy Spirit in us)… Wow!

Which table are you partaking from? Is it king Nebu’s table or our Lord’s Table?

A Bunch of Rubbish or Jesus?

"Steer clear of the barking dogs, those religious busybodies, all bark and no bite. All they're interested in is appearances—knife-happy circumcisers, I call them. The real believers are the ones the Spirit of God leads to work away at this ministry, filling the air with Christ's praise as we do it. We couldn't carry this off by our own efforts, and we know it—even though we can list what many might think are impressive credentials. You know my pedigree: a legitimate birth, circumcised on the eighth day; an Israelite from the elite tribe of Benjamin; a strict and devout adherent to God's law; a fiery defender of the purity of my religion, even to the point of persecuting the church; a meticulous observer of everything set down in God's law Book.

The very credentials these people are waving around as something special, I'm tearing up and throwing out with the trash—along with everything else I used to take credit for. And why? Because of Christ. Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant—dog dung. I've dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him. I didn't want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ—God's righteousness.

Confusion

The Book of Daniel begins with the tale of two kings, Jehoiakim king of Judah and Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. This scenario gave me a contrast of two different forces in this universal and I am lured to picture  Jerusalem as the Church and Babylon represents the world. The name "Jerusalem" is a compound of two Semitic roots, "s-l-m" meaning wholeness, peace, harmony or completeness, and "y-r-h" meaning to show, direct, instruct, or teach. Jerusalem means "Abode of Peace," "Teaching of Peace", or "Whole or Complete Instruction". The word "Babylon" in Hebrews mean "confusion" (of languages), from the verb balbal, "to confuse by mixing". So, King Nebuchadnezzar is a king of confusion.

During Daniel’s time, when Jerusalem was being besieged, some of the articles of the temple of God were also being delivered to king Nebuchadnezzar and he carried them off to the temple of his god in Babylonia and put in the treasure house of his god. Some of the articles  of the temple of God were with king Nebuchadnezzar and king Nebu indeed had made full use of these articles by mixing them with the teaching of the world.

King Nebu told Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, to get some Israelites from the royal family and nobility, young men who were healthy and handsome, intelligent and well-educated, good prospects for leadership positions in the government, perfect specimens, and indoctrinate them in the Babylonian language and the lore of magic and fortunetelling. The king then ordered that they be served from the same menu from the royal table the best food, the finest wine. After three years of training they would be given positions in the king's court.

The redeemed have all the criteria this king Nebu is looking for. The redeemed are from the Royal family and nobility. The redeemed are healthy and handsome, intelligent and well-educated, good prospects for leadership positions in the government, perfect specimens, all because of the redeeming quality of our Redeemer, Christ Jesus. King Nebuchadnezzar takes pleasure in indoctrinating the redeemed with Babylonian language (Message with mixture of Law and Grace) and conspires to fascinate them with the lore of magic and fortunetelling of which he calls prophecy...

This king Nebu is no fool to dispense the worldly teaching alone; he mixes the worldly teaching with the truth from God (Remember he got the articles of the temple of God?). He would indoctrinate the redeemed to work hard for God for it is good that we work hard for God because He had already delivered His begotten Son just for us and save us. Now that we are saved, we have to work hard for Him. In case (well, most of the cases) if we do not have the strength to go on, ask for His grace as His grace is sufficient for us…

To sum up, Babylonian teaching emphasizes on our commitment with self effort plus Jesus’ effort; our hard work plus Jesus’ finished work; our obedience plus Jesus’ obedience; our sacrifice plus Jesus’ sacrifice; we nailing ourselves on the cross plus Jesus’ crucifixion at the cross! That’s not all, he would indoctrinate us to focus on Moses who represented the Law and Elijah the prophet, so as to divert our focus on Jesus, our Savior and water down the Gospel that we first received.

Mind you, the Father in Heaven rebuked Peter for suggesting on making three tabernacles. Peter himself gave the testimony on how he witnessed Jesus receiving from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory saying: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!" The Bible also clearly proclaims that the Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John the Baptist and Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for EVERYONE who believes.

Well, have you ever wonder whether this king Nebu is in your Jerusalem? Are you confused in your Christian walk? For the Bible says, know the truth, the truth will set you free. Are you free? Or are you still wondering for the truth?

I tell you the truth, the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. The Truth is with Grace and Grace is Jesus Personified… This Grace that we share a lot is the glory of the Gospel of Christ! For the Gospel of Christ  is the power of God to SALVATION [(so-tay-ree'-ah) means rescue or safety (physically or morally): - deliver, health, salvation, save, saving.] EVERYONE who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek... Salvation here is not only save us from hell but our every situation in life! If you are confused, the Gospel of Christ can save/deliver you from your confusion!

Amazing Grace

Please don't judge the book by its cover....

Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.

T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.

Zipped

Recently I leant to compress an mp3 file and forward to my friend as she required listening to this particular song for the Sunday Worship. I never knew that to compress a file is so easy and to forward a compressed file is much faster than forwarding a raw file. The quality of the file she received still remain the same after she had unzipped it.

Well, you can laugh at me if you want… but I am telling you all this because I want to share with you a revelation that I have received while I was being amazed by this simple process in the computer system.

Today is Good Friday, and about two thousand years ago, our Lord Jesus had gone through the eternal suffering at this hour of time. All the sins of this world had been put on Him. All the punishment of this world had been poured on His body. For this six hours from 9 in the morning to 3pm in the afternoon, the eternal sin of this world, the punishment of our sins and the suffering that our Lord sustained, had been compressed and zipped into this six hours. In this six hours at the cross, He had been punished by God and He had suffered a suffering that we can never understand.

Knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, our Lord Jesus said, "I am thirsty." A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to His lips. When He had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished!" With that, He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.

With the same principle, our sin has been forgiven, past, present and future…  and if we still think that our sin is still not forgiven, we are actually insulting God the Father and our Lord Jesus.
