My First Joseph Prince DVD

This is the first Joseph Prince DVD I bought about five years ago. Because of this DVD, I bought my first DVD player just to play this DVD. Nevertheless, the illustrations in this DVD has helped to set a lot of Christan free from legalism.

This morning I have a chance to watch this DVD all over again and it still speaks to me. After all these years, I am still bless by it.

This Is Our God

I am honored and blessed to be among the first to have this special edition CD+DVD album “This Is My God” in Malaysia, as I was told that this DVD is still undergoing Censorship Board and will only be released next month. This album was released during 2008 Hillsong Conference.

I wish to express my thankfulness to Roselind and Stanley (William’s Sister and Brother in Law) for blessing me with this album. Roselind and Stanley are living in Sydney and they worship in Hillsong Church. We had dinner together with William’s family and Richard’s family last night. During the fellowship, we could feel that Stanley and Roselind are overflowing with the Father’s love for William. Out of the overflow, we are being blessed as well.

Well, this is the grace of our heavenly Father. This Is Our God!

The Greatness of Our God Is Magnified At The Cross

I had never heard of Louie Giglio until William brought back the DVD “How Great Is Our God” from Australia. Giglio is the Visionary Architect and Director of Passion Conference in US. In this DVD, Giglio uses his illustration of God’s creation of the universal to magnify how great is our God and subsequently he pull back his illustration from the magnificent Black Hole in the Whirlpool Galaxy to a small molecule found in human’s body call Laminin.

The Galaxy

It is awesome to find out how big is the universal and it is equally awesome to discover Laminin, a microscopic size protein found in human body, which helps to anchor the actual organs to the membrane. The Black Hole at the center of Whirlpool Galaxy is marked with the sign of a cross and so is Laminin. Awesome….

The Laminin

The function of Laminin in our body is like the steel structure in the concrete that bind the structures of the building together. Indeed, we are all fearfully and wonderfully made by Him.

Colossians 1: 16~17 For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Giglio is a powerful communicator, but more importantly he speaks of the power of God’s glory in His creation and indeed, he succeed in pointing us to Christ.

This DVD is highly recommended. I have been self centered for too long in my life and his preaching came at the right time to impact my mind. My vision of God has been revolutionized by Giglio and I started to see grace in Christ on a different aspect of life.....

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)

I first heard of this song in New Creation Church's Sunday Service on 13th July 2008. I was touched. William, a lovely brother of mine, he just came back from Hillsong Conference. He gave me a DVD entitled "How Great is Our God" by Louie Giglio, the Visionary Architect and Director Of Passion Conferences. This preacher just freeze me with his awesome insight of God. The "aftermath" of his preaching prompted me to search You Tube for Laminin, and this song by Chris Tomlin was on the same page of my search result. Coincidence...?

You may say that I am so slow to receive.... but my Lord is always faithful, He will never let any good thing pass me by. Good thing happen to those who know God loves them. This is grace and this is the aroma of my Lord.

Hillsong Conference 2008

William, a disciple whom Jesus loves, brought back these valuable materials from Hillsong Conference 2008 in Sydney, Australia. Though we are unable to be there, our Lord remembers all of us in SIB Grace and grants special favour to us because we in SIB Grace, are the Church that Jesus loves.

Pastor Joseph Prince was the main speaker in this conference. It was reported in New Creation Church's Sunday Service that, grace messages were preached in different aspects by all the invited speakers from all over the world. Over 40,000 attendance were recorded in this conference. What a gospel revolution!

Live In Israel vol. 2

"Live In Israel vol. 2" is out! Just came back from New Creation Church and managed to get hold this DVD and many others. Can't wait to "chew" on them!

Live In Israel vol. 1

We have just finished watching this DVD teaching “Live in Israel vol. 1” by Pastor Joseph Prince of New Creation Church last night. As this DVD series consists of three episodes, we watched these video teachings in three sessions during K Group gathering. My K Group combined with Sister Lynn’s K Group as we anticipated the overwhelming response from K Group members as well as friends from other denominations.

Robin and Lynn, we just want to say thank you for your kind hospitality and your family is truly overflowing with His blessing and love!

Live in Israel was filmed in Israel on the locations like Mount of beatitudes; Mount Hermon, Mount Arbel, Tabgha and Banias Springs (Caesarea Philippi). These are the locations where our Lord Jesus had preached the messages like Sermon on the Mount, the incident on the mount of transfiguration, the place where Peter acknowledged Jesus as Son of God and Jesus reaffirming Peter three times before He said, "Follow Me!".

These messages delivered by Pastor Joseph Prince are simple but powerful, very refreshing to our spirit and are Christ centered. Although we have heard of theses messages from Pastor Prince over and over again through his CDs, this time around, our eyes were blessed with the amazing views and the well preserved environment of these biblical locations. I used to think that when Jesus went up to the mountain to pray, that mountain is full of trees. But in actual fact, there are no trees at all. On the other occasion where Jesus reaffirmed Peter at the shore of Sea of Galilee. In my mind, sea of Galilee is full of fine sand, but in actual fact, the sand is just like tiny stone.

With the combination of our ears and our eyes, the Holy Spirit expounded more and deeper truths to us during these three sessions of video teaching. The sound of “Amen” could be heard all over the room!

During our gatherings, we had our praise and worship at the living room, the video sessions at the video room and our refreshment in the dining room. These three places are known as the outer court, the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies respectively. We were blessed by the awesome worship at the outer court, the spirit edifying messages at the Holy Place and abundant of God’s grace and provision in the Holy of Holies.

I think the word “refreshment” is not very appropriate here. I should use the word “feast”! Our food varieties ranged from the local native foods to the pasta of Italy, from Roti Canai of India to the loaves from French and from local noodles to creamy spaghetti . These foods on the table made a big contrast with the poster of the Last Supper on the wall which expounded the new covenant truth of the abundant of God’s grace and provision after the cross.

However, these gatherings had leaved us with lots of fond memories and our spirit, soul and body had been well blessed and edified!

The Lost Identity

My son Adrian loves to watch cartoon movies. One day, as he was watching Lion King, my Lord brought my attention to Simba and preached to me a sermon on the lost identity of Christians in today churches. With His sermon, He called me out of Babylon (confusion caused by mixing law and grace) in an unexpected and a unique way.

Simba, the son of Mufasa, was destined to reign as king. As a young cub, he was prepared by his father for the day to take over the throne and rule the land. But because of Scar’s conspiracy in trying to lure Simba into a wildebeest stampede, Mufasa was killed in the process while trying to save Simba. Uncle Scar then led little Simba to believe that it was all his fault and that it would be best for him to leave the Pride Lands and never return. Scar and his company put guilt on Simba and condemned him for his father’s death. The condemnation led him to flee from the Pride Lands and find himself in the company of gracious gang of a meerkat named Timon and a warthog named Pumbaa.

The bible says the law kills and the Spirit give life. The law justifies right doing, condemns wrong doing and condemnation brings death to life.

The condemnation from Scar had caused little Simba to lose his identity as a charismatic and majestic lion. He was a confused and a frightening young cub then. With the guidance of his newly founded friends, Timon and Pumbaa, they sang the famous song “Hakuna Matata” (means no worries) together in a gracious spirit. Simba matured into a young adult and with the help of Rafiki, a wise shaman baboon, Simba realized that his father's spirit lives on in him and that he must took his place in the circle of life and accept the responsibility of his destined role as king of the Pride Lands.

Rafiki’s affirmation and encouragement restored Simba and he returned to the Pride Lands and re-captured the throne from his Uncle Scar. 

Condemnation from legalistic and self centered preaching has destroyed many Christians. A condemned Christian is weak, confused, blind and lost. Condemnation has made Christians lost their real identity. There must be a demonic conspiracy behind all this just like the conspiracy of Scar behind Simba’s life!

We are called church. The English word church derives from the Greek Κυριακή. The Greek term 'ekklesia' which is ecclesia, literally means "called out from or called out of". The church had been called out from Law by the finished work of Christ on the cross. Jesus fulfilled the law and nailed it together with Him on the cross. With revelation from the Holy Spirit, we ought to know that law has nothing to do with the church!

We are all sons and daughters of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of us who are baptized into Christ have been clothed with Jesus’ righteousness. Father God see us righteous because of the gift of Jesus’ righteousness and not because of our performance. When the truth of Father God’s prospective is not on our performance but on Jesus’ performance, how can we fail after we have received the gift of everlasting righteousness? We need faith to continue our living as a Christian but faith only comes by hearing, hearing by the word of Christ.

The word of Christ is Jesus Himself. The word of Christ is not law but grace. The word of Christ is gracious because He Himself is Grace. The word of Christ never condemns but imparts us with faith. If the preaching of the grace of our Lord and the gift of His righteousness are continuously being preached, that church will become a radiant church. Those who hear of this truth and receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness will surely reign in life.

As a born again Christian, called to be the sons and daughters of God, our real identity is in Christ Jesus.

Sheep Farming?

Richard and I visited New Creation Church in the month of March 2007. During the visit, we had a change to fellowship with Pastor Joshua Lee and Deacon Anthony Lau. Though the time was short, it was a blessing to both of us.

I came across this DVD "Shepherd and Sheep - The Secret To The Abundant Life" in the Rock Gifts & Book Center. The first thing I did was to find out whether there are dogs among the flock on the DVD cover. Obviously there are non, praise God, goooood job! In fact, I am a bit concern whenever I see this sort of shepherd and sheep pictures. My peace would be disturbed if I see dogs among the flock.

I believe in bible way of shepherding the sheep but not the worldly way. The bible way is call shepherding and the worldly way is call "sheep farming". What is the difference? Well, in the bible, our Lord never use dog to help in shepherding the sheep. In fact, He warned us to watch out for dogs! Our Lord is always leading the sheep at the front not from the back chasing after the sheep or forcing the sheep to move on. Our Lord would leave ninety nine sheep on the hills and go to look for the one that wander off. Sheep farming method would say I still have ninety nine sheep, who cares about the one that wander off? To be honest, how many sheep were hurt or wounded by dogs in this modern way of "sheep farming"? We are not aware that we are in fact, copying the method of the world and not the bible way of shepherding. If we have heart to see, our Great Shepherd is busy seeking the lost sheep and putting them back to an appropriate sheep pen. Good Shepherd knows each and everyone of us and He calls us by name.

I was very much blessed by this DVD. The way Pastor Joseph Prince delivered the message was full of cleansing water and the aroma of our Lord. This is the kind of spiritual food that we need for our spiritual life to face our everyday living in this fallen world. The word just refreshes us and strengthens us with the revelation of the Jesus' grace and love. It is this kind gracious aroma that leads us to follow the Good Shepherd!

When we are dwelling in the realm of grace, we are actually pointing the sheep to our Good Shepherd and the sheep are following because of the aroma of His grace. As we all follow, He says My sheep hear My voice.

What kind of voice are you hearing? A condemning voice from the dogs or a loving and affirming voice from the Good Shepherd?
