We Eat Through Our Ears

Every living creature needs to eat and as human being, we also need to eat to stay alive. Being a born again believer, we are a spiritual being. We are born again in the Spirit the moment we believed in Christ; and because of this, the Word said we are a new creation; a creation that is so new that it has never been existed before. As a believer, a new creation, we also need to feed our spirit men.

It is written that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God and the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ dispensation, He had to use the word of God in the account of Matthew because He was still under the dispensation of Law. As for our dispensation after Jesus had completed His work at the cross, we are to use the word of Christ for Paul wrote in Romans 10 verse 17 that, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of CHRIST! Jesus who completed the Father’s will at the cross is now a resurrected Jesus, and He is CHRIST. Therefore, do not carry about with various and strange doctrines, for it is good that our heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.

Isaiah 55
2
~ Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.
3 ~ Incline your ear and come to Me, Hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you – The sure mercies of David.

These two verses from Isaiah 55 is supportive to this revelation and is releasing revelation knowledge. We are a new creation and the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new! We have an important task to perform. We have our spirit man to feed and our spirit man is eating through our ears. In the second verse of Isaiah 55, The Lord told Prophet Isaiah to LISTEN carefully to Him, and EAT what is good, and let his soul delight itself in abundance. The Lord is saying that our spirit man is EATING through our EARS!

Every matter in the word of God is important; but when God mentions a matter twice, we know that it is very important, so take heed...! He went on to instruct Isaiah to incline his EAR and come to Him, HEAR, and his soul should live; and He would make an everlasting covenant with him, that is the covenant of grace that we are now enjoying, the sure mercies of David. This sure mercies is the grace of God that king David praised so much in the Book of Psalms. That is why the Lord called him “A man after God’s own heart”, because he knew about the grace of God in the dispensation of Law!

At the garden, Adam fell short of the glory of God by eating from the wrong tree – The tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. He caused the human race to fall with his mouth. Because of the finished work of Christ, we can now receive restoration by partaking from the right tree – the Tree of Life. We eat through our ears to receive restoration that our Lord had brought for us at the cross…. because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of CHRIST.

The word of CHRIST is the gospel and the word of CHRIST is the power of God and in the word of CHRIST, the righteousness of God revealed. The word of CHRIST gives you the revelation of how righteous you are in CHRIST and the revelation of who you are in CHRIST. That is why Jesus personally reminded us in the Sermon on the mount that we are to seek first the kingdom of God (Christ) and His righteousness, and all these things (things mentioned before this verse) will be added to us! The good news is this, He had already done it at the cross two thousand years ago. Our Father in heaven through the finished work if Christ, had blessed us with every spiritual blessings in the heavenly in CHRIST!

Therefore, take heed how you hear. For whoever has revelation of who he is in CHRIST, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have revelation of who he is in CHRIST, even what he seems to have will be taken away.

Beloved, in regard to all things I pray that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

See The World Through His Heart

See the world through His heart… what a blog title! This blog was started because of  the Mango Cheese Cake made by my wife. I could still recall that moment while I was enjoying my Mango Cheese Cake, the Lord spoke in my heart with the verse from Mark chapter 16 verse 15:  And He said to them, Go into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the creation. While looking at the pieces of MANGO slices in the cake, my heart connected with His prompting as MANGO..., "MEN GO" into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the creation...! My first blog post was the picture of that Mango Cheese Cake made by my wife Penny, and I called that Mango Cheese Cake an Evangelistic Cake

As I walk and grow in the Lord through this blog, I was amazed to realize that as I learnt to see this world through His heart, I started to see thing the way He see and the whole Bible become real and alive…. So with this insight of the function of our heart and seeing thing through His heart, I recompile and post this revelation under the title of  "SEE THE WORLD THROUGH HIS HEART".

I have been wondering and asking the Lord why is that some believers who have tasted His grace and still shy away from Him after a short period of time… With this question, He is not slow in revealing the answer to me. To my surprise, His answer has become a series of my preaching in 3 separate sessions.

Ever since He started to reveal His answer, He has been showing me the biblical truth in respect of our mind and our heart.

Way back in the Garden of Eden, we could find the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil and the Tree of Life. In the wilderness, we could see the Israelites asking for the two tablets of Stones even though they had the leading of the Lord. Even in this dispensation of grace ever since the resurrection of our Lord, we, the believer, the temple of the Holy Spirit, have been using our mind instead of our heart.

The Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil, two tablets of Stone and our mind have the same characteristic, whereas the Tree of Life, the Lord’s leading and our heart are of the same characteristic. With the help from the structure of the tabernacle, we can actually see the picture of the two Trees at the outer court, the two tablets of Stone and God’s leading at the inner court and our mind and heart as the Holy of Holies.

In the outer court, Adam and Eve had chosen the wrong Tree and were driven out of the Garden. In the wilderness, the Israelites had chosen the two Tablets and they took forty years to complete an eleven days journey. My oh my… in this dispensation of grace, believers are using their mind, intellect, and their head knowledge to walk with the Lord. These three eras shared the same consequences which gave birth to human religions…

2 Timothy 1:9 -10 ~ who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

It is NOT only those who preach GRACE is under GRACE... GRACE is not for Christians only, but as long as you are a human being, you are under His GRACE. As long as you are born after the death of Christ, you are under this Grace Dispensation! Believers of Christ are no more under law but under grace. Believer did not invite Moses into their heart to be their Saviour... Believer has invited Jesus into their heart, and Jesus is their Saviour. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time...!

From the picture of the tabernacle, we could understand that Jesus’ death had already positioned us in the Holy of Holies where we can freely commune with Father God. The problem with many believers is that, we are using our mind, intellect, and our head knowledge to dwell in the Holy of Holies. As a result, we are moving the furnitures that are supposed to be in the inner court into the Holy of Holies. We are practising the rituals of the inner court in the Holy of Holies. We are still abiding to the law even though we are now in the dispensation of grace.

Because of these reasons, the Lord pointed me to a verse in Philippians chapter 3 and reminded me to watch out for dogs. Yes..., He meant dogs… dogs that bark, and there are two dogs!

Philippians 3:2 ~ Watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh.

Although the Lord had used this verse to speak to me before and warn me to be aware of those who used the Law to bind believers, but He regards that incident as in the outer court when I was still in “Babylon”. He wanted me to look at this verse again from a different point of view in the Holy of Holies.

I then realized that He was referring these dogs as our brain. Our brain has the shape of the two tablets of Stone brought down by Moses from Mount Sinai. Our brain is the storehouse of our memories, rules and regulation, our intellect and etc… Our desire to work and to abide the law is from our brain. Our brain is also our religion stronghold. Our brain barks at us whenever we made mistake… and we might consider this as self checking. Our brain pushes us to do well… Accuse us of our failures… condemn us of our pass mistakes, sins, failures… and even condemn others! Our brain is actually the shadow of the two tablets of Stones. Our brain is also the shadow of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

If we associate our intellect with what Apostle Paul called flesh, we will have a better understanding on what Paul meant by living according to the sinful nature and according to Spirit.

Romans 8:1 ~ There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh (using their intellect), but according to the Spirit (using their heart).

We are under the dispensation of GRACE. We are already in the Holy of Holies. We cannot use our intellect anymore; we have to use our heart…Or else, we can never walk in His grace and we can never walk with Him. Grace is not in line with our logical mind. We need the Holy Spirit to reveal His grace to us. Can you still remember the moment when you decided to put your faith in Our Lord Jesus, you invited Him into your heart...!? From that moment onwards, He has given you His own heart and His heart is the way of grace.

In respect of the revelation on our hearts that He has given me, the Lord used the Chinese’s writing character of  LOVE () to show me His heart.

In the old way (I see it as Old Covenant) of writing this character of LOVE (), there is a heart ()in it… But in the new way (I see it as New Covenant) of writing LOVE(), it is without a heart (). This is the question I have been asking the Lord for a long time; and He answered my question with a revelation of His heart.

Matthew 22:37 ~  Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.

In respect of the Old Covenant writing on LOVE (), The Lord said we have to use our own heart to love God… that is why there is a heart()in the old writing. But for the New, He said He had already help us to love God with all His heart and with all His soul, and with all His mind. We cannot find the heart in the new way of writing (New Covenant) because He has given us His own heart.

Ezekiel 11:19 ~ I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.

Our heart that is now beating is the heart from our Lord. By the grace of God, He has given us His own heart for us to believe in Him. It was this heart that healed the sick. It was this heart that casted out demons.  It was this heart that feed the multitudes. It was this heart that sympathized our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. It was this heart that accomplished all the written code of the Ten Commandments. It was this willing heart that sent Him to the cross.

It is this heart that understands the grace of God. It is this heart that understands the will of God. It is this heart that is full of love and compassion. It is this heart that Jesus has given us. He has given us a new heart…. In this mortal body of ours, only our hearts are new and living. With this statement from the Lord, He led me to a deeper understanding on what the Bible meant by "Do not walk in flesh but walk in the Spirit".

Our mortal bodies are subject to death. Apostle Paul was actually struggling in Roman chapter 7 and his struggle ended with him asking WHO would rescue him from this body of death not how or what he could do. He did not ask HOW but WHO. By asking WHO, the WHO, Who is always faithful, revealed to him that there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.  The Who did not revealed to him that he must repent… The Who revealed to him that there is now no condemnation. Who would have known that Paul condemned himself because of the tenth commandment which was nailing his innermost being? It was the dogs (his brain) barking at him... The 1st to the 9th commandments are of external behavior, while the 10th deals with the hearts of men.

From here, the Lord asked me to add the word “brain” in bracket after the flesh and the word “heart” in bracket after the Spirit.

In the Garden of Eden, the eyes of Adam and Eve were opened. Their minds were activated by the fruit of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. When their minds were activated, they started to see their nakedness. They started to see their lack and fear came into them.

On the road to Emmaus, the couple by the name of Cleopas, ate the bread broken by the Lord and their eyes were opened too, but they see the Lord and their heart was burning. The Lord said "Shalom...!"

Romans  8:1 ~ There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh (our brains) , but according to the Spirit (our hearts).

The revelation from the Lord at this point of time becomes very clear and easy to understand. If we walk according to our flesh (using our brains) condemnation will come! Remember the Lord reminded us to beware of dogs? Our brains are the shadow of the two tablets of Stone and they bark at us when we fall short. If we walk according to the Spirit (using our heart), there will be no condemnation. It is so clear that under the dispensation of grace, we cannot use our brains anymore. To walk in flesh (to use our brains) is death; to walk in the Spirit (to use our hearts) is life. After all, when we put our faith in the Lord, we never invited Him into our brains but into our hearts.

Our whole body is death… there is no life. In this resurrected body, only our hearts are new and are from the Lord. But the hope is found in Romans 8 verse 11 where we can find the Trinity God appears together in one verse…

Romans 8:11 ~  But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you (our heart), He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you (our heart).

Oh Hallelujah! The power that gives life to our mortal bodies is in our hearts! He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to our mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in our heart. It is all by grace through faith, not of us; grace and faith are gifts from God not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.

We can do nothing. We are human being not human doing. We don’t do good deed to become a believer but as a believer, we produce good deeds. The Lord did not ask us to do anything. He said He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to our mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in our heart. Being in Christ alone, is already doing our good work because we are His workmanship, created in Him to produce good work...!

Proverbs 4
20: My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
21: Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22: For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
23: Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

Proverbs 4
20: My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
-             Romans 10:17 ~ Then faith is of hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ.

We can only listen to the preaching of the Gospel of Grace. Let His living water washes our feet day in day out. This Gospel of Grace will point us to see Jesus and His finished work. We are then transformed from glory to glory by beholding our wonderful Lord Christ Jesus. We can do nothing but give attention to His words; incline our ear to His sayings. Let His living water washes our feet...; It is finished,,,!

21: Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;
-             On the road to Emmaus, Jesus expounded the Word from Moses to the Prophets things concerning Himself, He broke bread and their eyes were opened to see Jesus and their heart was burning.
When we read the Word be it Old and New Testaments, we must find out the Spirit of Jesus. Where the Spirit is, there is freedom.

22: For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
-             Romans 8:11 ~ But if the Spirit of the One who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the One who raised up Christ from the dead shall also make your mortal bodies alive by His Spirit who dwells in you.

He has given us His own heart. That is the fountain of life, the abundant life that He has promised.

23: Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.
-             Matthew 12:35 ~ A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings out good things; and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings out evil things.

A verse before this is “Offspring of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” His definition of good and evil is : When you trust in His grace that is good. If you trust in your performance by abiding the law, He calls that evil. There is nothing good coming out from our performance through obeying the Ten Commandment because a man of sinful nature can never abide to the holy standard of the commandments.

Coma patients have non-functioning brains yet as long as their hearts are still beating, they are considered alive.  Heart Attack patients are dead because their hearts stopped beating... Patients suffering from Heart Attack are certified dead once their hearts have stopped beating...and Heart Attack is caused by stress and the root of that lethal stress is from our mind...

Matthew 6:34 ~ Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow; for tomorrow shall be anxious for its own things. Sufficient to the day is the evil of it.

Faith is to depend on Jesus' performance while work is to depend on our own performance. The Lord said, "It is finished...!" It had all been taken care of... It had all been done by our Lord Jesus... ! Go now, and preach this God's news, i.e. the Gospel, the too good to be true news. Go into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the creation... and see the world through the heart that He has given you.

He Had Given Us His Heart

This post is the continuation of my previous post entitled  His Heart ~ The Way of Grace. In respect of the revelation on our hearts that He has given me, the Lord used the Chinese’s writing character of LOVE () to show me how He has given us His own heart.

   Old Way of Writing "LOVE"
New Way Of Writing "LOVE"

Matthew 22:37 ~  Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.

In respect of the Old Covenant writing on LOVE (), The Lord said we have to use our own heart to love God… that is why there is a heart()in the old writing. But for the New, He said He had already help us to love God with all His heart and with all His soul, and with all His mind. We cannot find the heart in the new way of writing (New Covenant) because He has given us His own heart.

His Heart ~ The Way Of Grace

I have been wondering and asking the Lord why is that some believers who have tasted His grace and still shy away from Him after a short period of time… With this question, He is not slow in revealing the answer to me. To my surprise, His answer has become a series of my preaching in 3 separate sessions.

We need the Holy Spirit to reveal His grace to us. Can you still remember the moment when you decided to put your faith in Our Lord Jesus, you invited Him into your heart...!? From that moment onwards, He has given you His own heart and His heart is the way of grace.

I will continue to share this revelation in respect of our heart in my next post....

God Incidence

My oh my... I have witnessed the move of the Spirit in my walk with the Lord again. This is yet another  "God incidence" when I read Steve McVey's recent post on "Two Covenants, Not One". I was amazed to notice that the Holy Spirit who is revealing this truth to him has also been revealing the same truth to me. What a honor to realize that I have preached on the same subject in my Chinese congregation two to three months ago, encouraging them to walk out of the confusion and enter into God's rest... When I read through his post, his sharing is so familiar to me and yet very refreshing. Wow... What a life to walk in His grace...

Please sit back and relax and enjoy Steve's sharing on the Two Covenants in the Bible.

For the past three weeks, I've been sharing a three-part series of teachings on the "Sunday Preaching" broadcast called, "Two Covenants, Not One." For many years, I stayed confused when I read the Bible because I didn't understand this simple aspect of understanding the Scripture. The Old and New Covenant are very different from each other in many ways. God told those in the old covenant that a day was going to come when He would make a new covenant with His people and it would not be like the covenant He had made with them through their Fathers. (See Jeremiah 31:31-32) Through Jesus Christ, that day came to us so that now the covenant He has made is totally different - not at all the same. It's new and, according to Hebrews 8:13, the old one is "obsolete." It has passed away. It's gone, expired, finished, over!

This fact is a sticking point in many people's minds. "Isn't the Old Testament God's Word?" they will ask? Of course the Old Testament is as much a part of the Bible as the New Testament, but here's a key that will help us immeasurably when we understand it. The Old Testament was not written to us! It was written for us, but not to us. (See Romans 15:4) There's a big difference. That's why the Apostle Paul cautioned Timothy to take great care to ensure that he would "rightly divide the word of truth" when he taught the Bible. (See 2 Timothy 2:15) All kind of trouble is created in our minds and lives when we don't do that.

Divine Arrangement...

About two weeks ago, I was very much enlightened by a message excerpt by Pastor Joseph Prince which was posted on the Facebook. The title of this excerpt is Receive Restoration As You Walk With Jesus, which was preached on the 10th of October 2010. It was a special day indeed...When I posted this excerpt on Facebook and my Blog, I was thinking to myself: "How long do I need to wait to have this message CD..." and then on the 22nd of this month, about ten days from then, this CD message was miraculously in my hand. It was a divine arrangement through a sister who attends NCC, came back to Kuching to visit her family. I did not share with anyone regarding my thought... Nobody knew of my thought but the Lord…!

The moment I watched this excerpt, there was a confirmation in my heart (as my heart was burning). This excerpt is in line and at the same time, the continuation of the message that I have preached in my Chinese Service on the same date...! Wow... He is preparing my message for my next sharing! My preaching on that Sunday was about reminding us as believers who are under His grace, to use our heart to comprehend His grace instead of our mind (brains)... Many believers walked away from grace because they have been using their logical mind (brains) to comprehend His grace. Our brains (right and left brains) is actually a shadow of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and the two Stones of the 10 Commandments... Although the Lord has called us out of our previous environment (the ministry that the glory is faded away) into a grace environment, we still find it hard to walk with Him because we have used the wrong organ. We cannot walk out of our "flesh" if we keep on engaging our logical mind. If it is logical, it is not of faith....We cannot walk in the Spirit if we do not use our heart...

Romans 8:1 ~ There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh (use their brains), but according to the Spirit (use their heart).

This video Message excerpt is about the experience on the road to Emmaus… The disciples partook of the Bread, that is the picture of the Lord’s body as well as the Tree of Life, their eyes were opened. The eyes were opened to see the Lord. Thus, their eyes were opened to see their righteousness, their abundance, their life… and their hearts were burning.

Whereas in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve partook of the wrong tree and their eyes were opened too, but their eyes were opened to see their nakedness, their lack, their sinfulness… and their hearts were fearful…

Only Jesus knows His Father’s will perfectly and praise God, He has given us His own heart. The Bible in the book of Ezekiel chapter 11 verse 19 says, I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. He had given us His own heart. The burning heart that we have now is Jesus' heart. This burning heart is always led by the Holy Spirit, will always be Christ centered and thus..., we can walk with Him with His attitude of grace.

On the other hand, our logical mind can only leads us to see what the world has. It is in this world that we see our lack, our nakedness, our sinfulness. When the logical mind is in control, man made religion is in control...

Adam and Eve by eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, the eyes of their mind were opened, and were opened to man made religion... We who are under His grace, the bread (His Body) opened up the eyes of our heart, and are opened to see His grace...

Is your heart burning now...?

Mind vs Heart

The kingdom of this world is in our mind.
The Kingdom of God is in our heart.

Law is in our mind.
Grace is in our heart.

To do right or not to do wrong is from our mind,
Abundant life is in our heart.

Our mind prompts us to do.
Our heart prompts us to rest.

Work is from our mind,
Faith is from our heart.

The devil speaks and prompts us through our mind,
Our Lord speaks and prompts us through our heart.

Worries are from our mind.
Shalom peace is in our heart.

Self righteousness is from our mind.
The Righteousness of God is in our heart.

The nature of condemning is from our mind,
The nature of compassion is from our heart.

Doubt is from our mind.
Believe is from our heart.

Our mind seeks knowledge,
Our heart seeks wisdom.

Knowledge is from our mind.
Revelation is from our heart.

We obey the letters with our mind.
We obey the Spirit with our heart.

Ezekiel 11.19I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.

Inception - Implanting of Idea

Ya, inception…

From Hollywood…?

No, this is Holy Word…!

I watched this movie together with my family about a week ago after a strong recommendation from my sons. My two boys went with us again after they have watched this movie the night before. This movie was quite confusing at first, but Adrian was quick to guard me... to understand their dreams.

This film, a variant on the heist genre, centers on Dom Cobb, an "extractor", who enters the dreams of others to obtain information that is otherwise inaccessible. His abilities and questions about the death of his wife have cost him his family and his nationality, but he is promised a chance to regain his old life in exchange for planting an idea in a corporate target's mind. This process of planting of an idea, known as "inception", is less familiar and far more difficult than Cobb's usual job of "extraction".

This act of "inception" is to secretly implanting an idea in a person's mind so as to change the course of that person’s action. This idea could be a virus in a person’s mind when the bearer started meditating on it. The first inception in the entire human race took place in the Garden of Eden when the serpent implanted doubt into Eve’s mind.

Genesis 3:1b ~ Did God really say, “You must not eat from any tree in the Garden?”

We can read in the Bible that God gave Adam and Eve freely all the trees in the Garden to eat from, including the Tree of Life which was in the midst of the Garden… except the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. In God’s eye, the Tree of Life is in the midst of the Garden. This mean to say He sees life in the midst of us and He put life as a center focus and that is why He offered up Jesus to give us this abundant life…

When the act of inception came from the serpent, instead of seeing the Tree of Life in the midst of the Garden, Eve saw the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the midst… Instead of speaking what God has spoken, she spoke contradictorily to what God has spoken.

Genesis 3:2-3 ~ The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruits from the trees in the Garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruits from the tree that is in the middle of the Garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die’”

Do not entertain doubt. Do not let anyone make you doubtful of the Father’s love for you. The Father had given up His One and Only Begotten Son just for you. He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: "FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE KILLED ALL DAY LONG; WE ARE ACCOUNTED AS SHEEP FOR THE SLAUGHTER." Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Christ died on the cross to give us Good News, the Gospel of Grace. If anyone come preaching to you other than Good News, the Gospel of Grace, beware, an agent from the lying camp is on a mission of   “Inception”, trying to implant doubt into your mind…

Matthew 16:6 ~ “Be careful,” Jesus said to them. “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

Have you been "incepted"?

1 Corinthians 5:7 ~ Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

I See His Wisdom

I was once again being reminded that to believe is the key word in our Christian walk. This "believe" is a continuous tense, i.e. keep on believing... and to be a believing believer! When we believe right, we will definitely live right. It is because the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, is behind the scene leading a right believing believer. Unless we believe the right thing, or else we will be leave to ourselves depending on our own effort, eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, trying to discern what is good and what is evil in our life.

2 Timothy  3:16 ~  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

In the following passage recorded in the 7th chapter of the Book of Matthew, the Holy Spirit led me to witness the wisdom of God and how His wisdom had put these three different parables together to trigger our religious minds…

Teaching

Matthew 7:15~20 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Your fruit (your Christian walk) will tell you which tree you are eating from. If you are partaking from the Tree of Life, you will not bear the fruit of The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. If you are partaking from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, you cannot bear the fruit of the Tree of Life. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

In other word, if you are under Grace, you are not legalistic but gracious. You believe your righteousness is a gift from God and you are at rest. But if you are under law, you can’t help but be legalistic. As you are legalistic, you believe that your righteousness is depending on your work. You believe you must "work out your salvation" and you are not at rest...

Rebuking

Matthew 7:21~23 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

These three little verses are just a checklist for you to check on which tree you are eating from. If you are under grace, depending on God’s unmerited and undeserved favour, you are eating from the Tree of Life. You will know that how much you are being loved by the heavenly Father because He had given up His only Begotten Son just for you. Your faith will spontaneously tell you that these verses are not written for you because He already knows you and you are His child. As Jesus is in heaven, so are you!

If you have established yourself on law, you will have trouble digesting these three verses, because you are eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Your own effort and hard work can never give you the security in God. Due to your confusion and insecurity, you will always think that these three verses are talking to you. This is where you get the idea that your salvation is never secure. You think that once saved always saved is a heresy.

Friends, if you have fear reading these verses and you are confused, you have eaten from a wrong tree! Fear, confusion and insecurity are not the fruits of the Tree of Life. Life is absent in fear, confusion and insecurity!

Correcting and Training in Righteousness

Matthew 7:24~27 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

So do not fear, whenever Jesus appeared in the Books of Gospel, He would say: “Do not fear, you of little faith…” Just change mountain, from Mount Sinai to Mount Zion. Change covenant! From the Old Covenant of Law to the New Covenant of Grace...

For the law was given through Moses, but GRACE and truth came through Jesus Christ. Oh praise God, GRACE is Jesus, and GRACE is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through GRACE. Oh praise God, GRACE is Life! GRACE came to give us life and life more abundantly! So receive the abundant provision of GRACE and the GIFT of Righteousness and REIGN in life!!!!

Stop depending on your own effort and self righteousness; start depending on His grace. These four verses are from the Lord asking you to build your house on the Rock. Only Jesus, our Rock, the Tree of Life, is our sure foundation for He Himself is our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

Matthew 7:28~29 And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

The Holy Spirit has pointed me to witness His wisdom in this passage… He is always faithful and gracious. This passage was once condemning and confusing but now, this passage is full of wisdom, grace and encouragement. No wonder only the people were astonished at His teaching not the Scribes....

Believing Is Seeing

In the New Covenant, grace is spiritual, as we need the revelation from the Holy Spirit to understand the grace of God. In the New Covenant, truth is also spiritual, as the Holy Spirit only witness to the truth. By the grace of God, the righteousness that He imparted to us is also spiritual because we too, need the Holy Spirit to convict us of righteousness and reveal to us that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. By the grace of God, He did not just take away all our sins, all our curses, all our sicknesses, all our bondages, all our poverty; He made us born again in the Spirit, to be called a new creation. Praise God, when we are born again in the Spirit, we are born righteous.

By the grace of God, we are now a spirit being living in our bodies… This divine exchange was made possible because as Spiritual Being, the Creator of this universe, our Lord Jesus humbled Himself and came down from His high level onto our level and redeemed us… through His Finished Work at the cross, He set us free from the kingdom of darkness!

Therefore, as a born again believer, to believe is spiritual, our faith is spiritual, our praise to God is spiritual, our thanksgiving is also spiritual, our prayer is spiritual, our worship is spiritual, and to rest in Him is also spiritual... The promises that God promised us are also spiritual and even our shouting of “Amen” is spiritual! Those who are under grace are those whom the Father seeks to worship Him in Spirit and truth. This is the reason why we are now in the world but not of the world!

Hebrews 11:3 ~ Because of our faith, we know that the world was made at God's command. We also know that what can be seen was made out of what cannot be seen (CEV).

In the account of Abram and Lot in the Book of Genesis, when Lot had parted from Abram, (Lot represents the veil that is on the believer's face, and as the veil is taken away,) God asked Abram to lift up his eyes from where he was and look north and south, east and west. All the lands that he could see the Lord would give to him and his offspring. Abram, in his dispensation and his point of time, was a natural man. When he looked from north to south, from east to west, his sight created the sign of a cross… and the rest is history and we know that Abram, later called Abraham, was highly favoured and greatly blessed with materialistic blessings.

God preached the Gospel story to Abram and God credited him as righteous because he believed. In the account of John 8:56, Jesus Himself told the Jewish people of His time that their father Abraham rejoiced to see His Day, and Abraham saw it and was glad. Abraham believed the Gospel and looked forward to the Cross, and he saw the Finished Work of Christ. We have heard of the same Gospel too and are now established by His grace because we believed we are righteous by faith. As such, we who believed this Good News are now children of Abraham. The Bible says, only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "AND TO YOUR SEED," who is Christ. Therefore, the promise by faith in Jesus Christ is given to those who believe. If we insist to obey the Law to be righteous or we insist to perform to own our righteousness, then we are uable to receive the blessing that God promised Abraham because the Abrahamic blessing is only given to those who believe that they are righteous by faith!

When God called Abraham, he was not born again in the Spirit but we are. We just need to look back at the cross (north and south, east and west), we just need to look at Jesus’ Finished Work, for Jesus had restored the promise that He made with Abraham. We do not need to look far like Abraham, we just need to see in the Spirit... Whatever we can see will ne given to us. For we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God… we need to realize that this is spiritual, and we need to believe the truth and see in the Spirit to received our blessing…

No one can teach us how to see in the Spirit but the anointing that God had given us i.e. the Holy Spirit … but we (our spirit man) can grow to see by only feeding on the truth i.e. Jesus’ Finished Work. Abraham looked forward to Jesus’ Finished Work and he was glad, and as we look back at Jesus’ Finished Work, we should be more grateful because by His grace, "It's Finished!" and we are already blessed!

"Seeing is believing" is of the Old Covenant spirit but "believing is seeing" is of the New Covenant Spirit. "Seeing is believing" is of the world, but "believing is seeing" is spiritual! Believe and See in the Spirit to receive your Abrahamic blessing!

How to see? You may ask again...

Revelation 3:18 ~ I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

This eye salve is the Holy Spirit. Saul the Pharisee was healed by this eye salve when Ananias laid his hand on him... Well, feed yourself on the truth concerning Jesus' Finished Work and BELIEVE; the Holy Spirit will make sure that you see. In due time, you can't help but SEE...and seeing effortlessly!

Evolvement

By Ole Henrik Skjelstad

In his first epistle John introduces something not found elsewhere in the Bible. He suggests that the Christian walk can be divided into three separate periods, where each period has some common characteristics. I have been pondering this lately and what I am now to pen down is not an exhaustive exposition on the subject, merely some initial thoughts.

The little child knows his sins are forgiven. He is not yet, however, secured in God’s grace and has a limited understanding of the mystery of the gospel, that is, Christ’s abiding presence in him. The child is an easy prey for condemnation, and is apt to judge himself and others based on behavior. He prefers fixed boundaries and finds security in a predictable religion.

The child usually wants to have its will and God have mercy on those who is so audacious that they shake their outlook and their predictable world. Children prefer predictability and strict boundaries. They prefer to divide things in good and evil.

The young man has overcome the evil one. He has disclosed the devil’s devices and is secure in his identity. He is strong because he has discovered the surpassing power of the One who abides in him. The adolescent is well settled in God’s grace and he is beginning to make righteous judgments in accordance with the light he has been given.

Otherwise the young men are like most other adolescents. They almost invariably know better than those who are older and more mature than them. Full of plans and energy they embark on any project they think will glorify God.

The father, who knows Him who has been from the beginning, has delved into this mystery we call love. He knows God is limitless and unsearchable. He has found that God operates outside any preconceived boxes. Daily his mind is stretched, because the Spirit is leading him further and further from the trodden paths. The father is completely secure in God’s love. The fact that he is loved is a fixed inner knowledge. He is not dependent on feelings, sensations or experiences to feel loved even though he appreciates those moments of intimacy.

What does it mean that the father knows Him who has been from the beginning? God is love and thus love is the origin of everything. It is a love that far surpasses any human understanding, so the father has undressed himself of those inhibiting thought patterns which attempt to understand God intellectually. God is Spirit and can hence only be recognized in a realm where words cannot by any means make justice to God’s person or ways. The father has abandoned any earthly ways, and his soul is utterly captivated by the beauty of the Eternal one.

For the father any illusion about separation has been dissolved and he is well established in his union with God. His will is fused with God’s will and he confidently obeys his heart knowing he can do nothing of himself and is thus secure in his own I. Paradoxes do not scare him. On the contrary he is intrigued by the freedom those almost preposterous inconsistent ideas offer.

Others envy him his freedom to express himself without any inhibitions. In the same manner as God the father is preoccupied with one thing only and that is life and life in abundance.

The Prologue of John’s Gospel

In the Gospel of John, John began his prologue periphrastically with the words of Word, Light, Glory, Grace and Truth to introduce the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

In this account he wrote: In the beginning was Jesus Christ is called the Word. Jesus was with God and was truly God. From the very beginning Jesus was with God. And through Jesus, the Word, God created all things. Nothing was made without the Word. Everything that was created received its life from Jesus, and His life gave Light to everyone.

The Light keeps shining in the dark, and darkness can never put it out. God sent a man named John the Baptist who came to tell about the Light and to lead all people to have faith. John wasn't that Light. He came only to tell about the light.

The true Light that shines on everyone was coming into the world. The Word was in the world, but no one knew Him, though God had made the world with His Word. He came into His own world, but His own nation did not welcome Him.

Yet some people accepted Him and put their faith in Him. So He gave them the right to be the children of God. They were not God's children by nature or because of any human desires. God Himself was the One who made them His children.

The Word became a Human Being and lived here with His people. They had seen His true glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father. From Him all the kindness and all the truth of God have come down to them. John the Baptist spoke about Jesus and shouted, "This is the One I told you would come! He is greater than I am, because He was alive before I was born." Because of all that the Son is, they have been given one blessing after another.

Hey, after saying all these, John was trying to tell us the comparison between the Law that his people was abiding and Grace that was from the Son of God. He then merely wrote… the Law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Can you comprehend what John was saying? Jesus  who is the Word, Light and Glory personified, brought us unearned, undeserved favour and truth from Heaven! There is no one has ever seen God, but the only Son, the Word, Light, Glory, Grace and Truth personified, who is truly God and is closest to the Father and has shown us what God, is like…

Though law was given by Moses for the purposes of pointing his people to the standard of God, but now the true standard of God has come to give us Word, Light, Glory which is totally unearned and unmerited and is the everlasting truth revealed by the gracious Father in Heaven.

The Mask

When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with two tablets of stone, his face was radiance with God’s glory. This radiance was not from the law but from the preaching of Jesus that he had received from God through God showing him the tabernacles, the different type of feasts and offerings...

Due to the dispensation that Moses was in, the law he dispensed caused the radiance of God’s glory to fade away. Moses had to put on a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance faded away. Under Law, the radiance from the glory of God slowly faded away…

2 Corinthians 3:13 ~ We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away.

This same scenario still happens to Christian in this 21st century. Nobody was saved by beholding the Ten Commandments but by the preaching of Jesus. We are all saved by the Lord because somebody somehow preached the Good News of what Jesus had done for us. Our faces were immediately full of the radiance of God’s glory when we believe the Gospel. We, in this grace dispensation, the radiance of this glory is supposed to be an ever increasing glory. But the sad thing is this, majority of us lost this radiance of God’s glory as we were brought back to behold Moses and believe in the abiding of  Law!

Like Moses, instead of putting on a veil, we at our time and dispensation, put on a mask, a mask of self righteousness! We fear that our fellow Christian will know the radiance of this glory is fading away... We start to live like a Christian forgetting that we are already a Christian. We start to DO thing that we think will make us righteous and forgetting that we are made righteous by the Blood of Jesus. We are concern over our action as consciousness of sins dwell in our midst. We have forgotten that sin is already a settled issue when Jesus died on the cross. We start to look at people’s fault and condemning people in the name of God… Oh we, we, we… and I, I, I... how sad…?

I began to understand Moses' feeling the moment he first saw his people worshipping the golden calf. He was furious as he noticed that he had strike the first prize of [You shall have no other gods before me]. When he was up in the mountain, he had revelation on the Ten Commandments and he understood the consequences of sin. He was in fear and was helpless. He destroyed the tablets and the golden calf (the evidence of sin) hoping that nothing had happened. The Bible says these two tablets was the work of God. Nobody can do away with God’s work but God. That is why Jesus had to come into this world to become Man and fulfilled the demands of the Law on our behalf and nailed these tablets together with Him on the Cross!

Matthew 5:17 ~  Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.

It was the Grace of God that took down my mask, the mask of self righteousness. I realized that I am already a New Creation and my righteousness is not depending on what I have to do. The Holy Spirit in me can teach me all things. I just have to live my life beholding Jesus. If anyone come and teaches me on how to live a Christian life, he or she is just being religious because only Jesus can live a Christian life! We need to point people to Jesus not Moses, so that the Holy Spirit can move in their midst as He is known as the Spirit of Truth. He moves where the truth is!

1 John 2:27 ~ But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

When we behold the commandments, Moses will have to put on a mask on our face and we are actually climbing up the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. This mask of self righteousness only leads us to Do good and avoid DOING evil. Please let the Grace of God touches you and let Jesus take down your mask and you can start climbing up the Tree of Life…

John 1:17 ~ For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Christian life is all about Jesus and the Grace of God not Moses and the two tablets… Let go of your mask and remain in His REST because the only fight remain in our Christian life is to fight to remain in His REST!

Oh... this phrase is so profound! We've to fight to remain in His REST means we are already in His REST! So relax....!
