Grace Upon Grace Conference 09
1st Session 08-05-2009
Romans 4:6-8 ~ David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: "Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him."
Righteousness and forgiveness of sins are one... When our sins are forgiven, we are righteous in God's eye. As a believer, we have been forgiven of all our sins; past, present and future because of Jesus' Finished Work at the Cross. Jesus, the Son of God had been resurrected for our justification two thousand years ago...!
Isaiah 1:18-20 ~ "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword"; For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
If you are willing to believe that you are righteous and your sins had been forgiven, you will eat the good of the land. If you refuse to believe that you are righteous and your sins had been forgiven, you shall be devoured by the sword of condemnation...
