Medan, Day Four... We Were Lost

We could not find the Hotel Driver this evening. So Bartholomew asked the Receptionist to recommend for a big Mall to go to and the Receptionist recommended us to go to Millennium Plaza. She was helpful and called a Taxi for us. It was an elderly Taxi driver and he could speak a little bit of English and Hokkien. He told us that this Millennium Plaza is at the northern part of the City of Medan and it would take us about twenty minutes to reach there.

On approaching the Plaza, the outer appearance of this Plaza looked disappointing as it did not look like a big Mall at all. As we entered the Plaza, there are about five levels and every shop lots there are selling mobile phone and IT equipments. This Plaza is just like Wisma Sabekas, but about 10 times bigger!!!

We walked around the Plaza and could not find any food to eat. So we decided to leave and go for the familiar Sun Plaza. In Sun Plaza, we went back to the same restaurant that Susan brought us three days ago and this time we managed to get the name of this restaurant, it is called UBUD!

Fried Rice ala Kampoeng
Indonesian Village Fried Rice

Matador Fried Rice
Elder Alex and Bartholomew ordered this fried rice. It's fried rice in egg omelet, the Indonesian style!

You all must be wondering why we always order fried rice eh. Well, we could not understand much of their menu and fried rice is the easiest food to recognize and you just have to point at the menu to order.

Bebek Goreng Betutu
Indonesian Deep Fried Duck... They call duck "Bebek". Elder Alex said, "I am always happy when I am eating duck". Indeed he was happy and he was good in dismantling the duck! I told him this duck looked dead to me and for me, this is like durian to him... :)

Polo Jacket
Each one of us bought a piece of this jacket which is on Sale at 50% discount for the price of Rp199,500.00 (RM58.00). A very good bargain indeed...
