Have You Graduated From Kindergarten?

The Bible says those who are still an infant can only drink milk and unable to eat solid food and is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. Whereas those who are mature eat solid food and they have constant use of the righteousness have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

Milk is the product from a mammal. Lets us use cow as an example. If you drink milk, you only need the cow to produce. The cow is happy and you are happy. But if you eat of it’s meat (solid food), it takes the life of a cow to give you beef! Understand the difference? When you eat meat, somebody will have to die! It’s the cow.

When infant drink of its milk, the cow is not killed and the blood is not shed. It is actually the shadow of a religion under an inferior covenant, of which, is a duplication of religious principle where sin is not a settled issue and needed constant reminder for repentance. Therefore, an infant has to be taught over and over again on the repentance of the acts that led to death. It is all about their effort, their behavior, and their right conducts, their approach towards God and their personal holiness so to speak. The infants have been bound with lots of rules and regulations; on you cannot do this or you cannot do that, you cannot fellowship with certain group of people, you cannot eat this and you cannot eat that…. you cannot, you cannot....

The scenario is just like the kindergarten our kids used to go to. The problem with the infant is that, even there are time that kids will be graduated from the kindergarten, those infant are still there years after years. These infant are not taught to be Jesus conscious; they are not make to understand what Jesus had done for them on the cross and worst of all, they have been led to misunderstand the Holy Spirit…

Those who are taught with the teaching of righteousness are bold to make Jesus their righteousness and they do not trust in their flesh to produce self righteousness. They understand that through Jesus finished work on the cross, all the sin issues had been settled. They look to Jesus for their holiness, their righteousness, their wisdom and their provision.

Isaiah said of our righteous acts are like filthy rags while Apostle Paul considered his achievements through self righteousness as dung. And interestingly, the meaning of flirty rug in Hebrews is sanitary napkin….

Therefore, before God considers us as mature, we need to constantly use His righteousness. Before we can constantly use His righteousness, we need to establish ourselves in His righteousness. Before we can be established in His righteousness, we need to establish ourselves in His grace. Sorry, it is about grace again, no place for law keeping. And if we want to be established in His grace, we need to rest in Him and received from Him. Before we can rest in Him, we must understand what He meant by “It’s finished!”

Whenever we try to perform to justify ourselves, we are alienated from Him and fallen away from His grace. In other words, we are saying, “Jesus, You have not done a good job, You are a liar, Your finished work is not actually finished. You still have something for me to do.” Let’s put it short, no human effort, it’s all about His finished work.

To have meat (solid food) as our food, we have to kill and killing involves with shedding of blood. Those who are mature can eat meat because they have taken full advantage of a sledded animal. Because of this reason, those who are mature are able to take full advantage of Jesus’ death and depend on His righteousness. Our Lord Jesus had been slain on the cross and His blood had been shed. He was made sin to die on the cross so that we can be made righteous. Have we taken full advantage of His death and depend on Him for our righteousness?

Christianity was born out of the death and the shed Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Whoever approaches Christianity without recognizing His death and His Blood or bypassing His death and His Blood is defined as religious. Anyone who stays in the realm of religion is still an infant while the mature is about taking full advantage of the death and the Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ without shame.

Have you graduated from kindergarten? Or you are a teacher in a kindergarten...?

Hey Alan, the Bible says solid food you know, not meat…..

Well, an infant is unable to take bread as well. Think about it, the process of making bread is also signifying the suffering of our Lord Jesus Christ. To be a bread, you have to go through grinding of the grain, pounding, kneading of the dough, make into shape and to be baked in a high temperature oven… He said, "I am the Bread of Life!" Didn't He?
